Some statement for someone that played 1070 minutes of Premier League football last season.

Fucking bullshit post.... yes u are right about the figures but figures dont paint the whole picture. last year we were rampant and attacking teams and destroying most of them so a de jong like player wasnt needed an extra atttacking option was a smarter choice. but this year we are crying out for de jong. last year the defence was rock solid and settled and playing well without injuries.... this year for what ever reason wether it be changes to system, personnel, or just players tired or just not in the same amazing form as last year. AND with the injuries and suspensions we need a player like this. OK I admit he wasnt the most blessed with talent that money can buy so I accept that if the club could UPGRADE for a few extra quid then as a man that wants the best for us i would be 110% behind it....... but look what happened they traded a rotwieller for spanish poodle and a 1 legged chi huahua and to make it even worse payed 40 million for the pleasure. you say that u can judge a city fan as stupid by saying they prefer de jong to the 2 replacements well that tells me much more about you than it does about me..... serious question if you could have de jong back as he was and 40 million to spend elsewhere or these 2 mongs who would you choose???????johnmc said:norfstander said:Sick of hearing Nigel de Jong's name, to be honest. Always had a lot of time for the guy, will always like him as a man, but some people seem to have completely fabricated him being a vital player for us during our title-winning season. He started 11 games, ELEVEN, of 38.
For me, how strong an opinion someone has on de Jong leaving has become the quickest way to work out if a fellow City fan is an idiot or not. Last season it was "Get Johnson on" after 10/20/30 minutes, before that it was those who didn't rate Yaya Toure.

With all injuries, NDJ's departure. some Hart's mistakes etc.. we conceded 3 goals more than last season so far in the league.
NDJ as important player is the biggest myth on BM. He contributed with 1070 minutes last season. Squad player, nothing more. And wanted to leave. Good luck.

whereas the 28 million spent for 2 lesser quality squad players who will probably play the same amount as de jong did combined is good business is it?
( he didnt want to leave he wanted a pay rise is my understanding of it anyway)...and all the bollox about mario is worth it cos of his pass to augeroooo for the third goal...well de jong started the move so factor that into his wages and you have to say he was a safer bet than we are left with at the moment. may of been a good enough squad player to help us progress in CL
Regardless of which opinion you hold on this subject you cannot list NDJ's departure as one of the reasons that we have conceded more goals this season and then in the next sentence say that importance is a myth again bullshit!!! Knee deep today!!!MSP said:yaya1 said:Fucking bullshit post.... yes u are right about the figures but figures dont paint the whole picture. last year we were rampant and attacking teams and destroying most of them so a de jong like player wasnt needed an extra atttacking option was a smarter choice. but this year we are crying out for de jong. last year the defence was rock solid and settled and playing well without injuries.... this year for what ever reason wether it be changes to system, personnel, or just players tired or just not in the same amazing form as last year. god forbid we allow a player 1 season with NO preseason at all to adapt to the best league in the world.. its as bad as ppl slagging off silva whose a top 20 player in the world
give the man time and he'll come good he obviously wants to be here and win and fight for a place. sample size is too small.. patience
