Javi Garcia

Even the greatest teams on earth who has won everything there is to win, did so, and do so, with "good enough" players in various positions. To expect superstars in every position is just not realistic.

ManUre has won a heck of a lot with players we call shit, and so has Chelsea. Even the great Barcelona has played with less than fantastic players in the team and still won everything.

Garcia though, isn't shit and he does his job good enough. Sure, he could be faster, but he's not. So what?

Kun could be more clinical.
Edin could have a better first touch
Kompany could be a better passer.
Hart could be far better in the air and with his distribution.
Zabaleta and Clichy could both be better crossers of the ball.
Barry could be quicker.
Balotelli could be at AC Milan.

But in spite of this we are the current champions and we are doing very well. I do no not for a second think our sqaud is inferior in any way and Garcia is good enough to do the job which is asked of him.
Top post that.

I agree. I can remember De Jongs lung bursting runs and superb crosses fondly......

Who said anything about lung bursting runs and superb crosses?
Why are you slating Garcia for a run and a cross when is a defensive midfielder!

You would think after watching De Jong for years that people would realise what a defensive midfielder does. Garcia is a defensive midfielder, he isn't going to be bombing forward putting in crosses and scoring goals. He sits in front of the back four, recycles possession, get some goals from set pieces and be solid when defending them.

What else do people want?

How about slating Silva because he doesn't tackle enough or Dzeko because his tackle completion ratio is shit. Oh wait one is an attacking midfielder and one is a striker!

Exactly this. He did brilliantly to even get into the position. Nothing wrong with the run just a poor ball. To be expected for a defensive midfielder as they would find themselves in that position once or twice a season max.

Easy to praise him but can he do it on a freezing day away at Sto... oh. He was very good today, scored in the same fixture on his debut as well.

keep your knickers on ....he looked ok as a stand in centre half...he will never make a world class midfielder !
