People forgetting how good Garcia was in the 2nd half against Real Madrid, possibly the reason we got anything out of that game as he did a great job helping thwart their counter-attacks. Wigan on a freezing night could have been a culture shock for a player used to playing in Spain and Portugal, give him some time. Go and download both Benfica vs. United games from last season's Champions League and watch how well he played alongside Witsel.

my bigger concern with Javi isn't his ability to read the game and make tackles. I have to assume that his history is more important than his present form here and that he'll come good on those factors. I'm much more concerned with what seems like his allergy to show for the ball. His movement has been atrocious. Even against Madrid, when he was playing well, he'd break up play or gain possession, make a simple pass to an outlet, then sort of drift into a location where the ball couldn't be played back to him. It's really weird and something we can't afford to have in our XI when we spend so much time trying to use the ball to create space.

Against Wigan, I actually thought he showed decent passing range, playing a few balls from deep that nobody in our side seems to really play, so that was encouraging. I just hope that his movement can be sorted out by the training staff because we really desperately need another active deep lying midfielder who can help us transition defense into attack. For the price we paid for this player, we need him to be more than NDJ was, really has to be able to not just win the ball but also get us moving forward. There's no way he's going to be able to do this if he is as afraid of possession as I feel he's been to this point (others may disagree)

Way too early to judge.

However, as personal view, I can't see that he's bombed and, indeed, has shown some class amidst a clear confusion regarding what playing in the Prem and, most importantly, for MCFC is all about.

He clearly has the assets required and just needs to get his head around it all. As I've said for a while, Balo seems to be clicking into this but it takes time, especially for Spanish & Italian players.

Javi is certainly not the clueless donkey that some suggest on BM. He's no Gaz Baz but, then, who is?

hes shit ...played /involved in 6 games and hes shit sorry .hate away and tell me to give him time etc...I couldnt give a fuck hes not good enough for where we want to be and whoever gave him the all clear to sign is either on percentage or is a bad judge of footballers.
