A defensive midfielder, in my opinion, needs to be able to read the game and tackle opponents.

Garcia does neither.

Garcia has a better defensive contribution this season than Yaya in almost a third the number of minutes.

And 10 fewer goals.

He's only started 9 games:

Thats easy when the passes only go backwards or to the side n hardly ever forward to drive the team on

Javi is clearly average and why we paid all that money for him is baffling. Who's idea was it? Didi Hamann was much better in the shielding role when he came to us as a pensioner. Don't get me started on letting Gaz Baz go and keeping Javi. If we can upgrade this window we should do.

This 100%. Some of the decisions that powers that be have made are baffling and this is one of them.

He was gash today, kept giving the ball away or losing possession against a weakened championship side.

End of season ship him out along with a few others who were also playing today.

No that's my fault, he did. As stupid as this sounds, I didn't scroll down. He played at CB against Cardiff and got subbed at HT against Sunderland. I missed the Chelsea match aswell.

Someone on here posted the stats a couple of weeks ago with the goals scored/ goals conceded while Garcia is on the pitch. He also posted a points average when he starts and from when he doesn't start. Those stats are the most important and they do not work out in Garcia's favour. What ever anyone says he doesn't offer a great deal for us. It isn't his fault it's the managers.

And the stats are right.

If you say "he kept giving the ball away" and the stats say he only didn't complete 6 passes in the entire game then you're wrong.
