Well the rags have apparently told Real Madrid that he's not for sale at any price.
'No amount of money' according to the Beeb. So, then, Jose, send over a couple of good looking lads to spend a quiet afternoon in a public sauna with Messrs O'Shea, Camel Gob and any other rag that might be interested, and you might get yourself a Mexican. No money, just favours of certain kind.

Haven't you heard? United wouldn't sell that lot a virus lol.

So no, your Stoke's and Blackburns parking the bus wont be able to do it, but there's no reason why the top 6 teams can't deploy similar traps to ruin his day. For a player that relies on speed, his run timing is awful.
I've been waiting for the perfect moment to dip into this thread.

His run timing is awful? Who have you been watching? His movement is the single best thing about his entire game. That's why he's scored as many goals as he has; his anticipation of a pass, reaction to mistakes etc. all mean that he gets as many opportunities to score as he does.
He runs in straight lines.

If he learns to run the line he has a chance.

Would I swap him for tevez?

Not a fucking chance in hell
I'm confused. Why are you bring Tevez into this?

And he doesn't just "run in straight lines". Cf. some of his goals scored this season; he checks his runs so often that centre-halves lose him when he changes direction quickly. As someone said before, he's a proper fox in the box type.

I'll address you to spare Dirty Harry defending someone he hates! :P

I don't watch him every week. But look at the CL final. Barcelona knew exactly how to handle him. Every single attempt he made at a run was caught offside. That is awful run timing if you ask me. If a speed striker can't figure out an offside trap, he's got a problem.

From what I saw, I suspect United's plan was to absorb the pressure and rely on releasing Hernandez to leave Pique and Puyol in the dust on the break. Well that may have won you the tournament, except he was offside for every single release. How is that reading the game correctly and making his positioning perfect? Being able to do it against your average prem team is great, but he was completely exposed in the CL.

In a straight sprint I'd bet on Hernandez over any of the Barca back 4 every time, so given the chance he could have been one on one with the keeper for every break long ball played to him. But his positioning cost him.

Knew about Chicharito before the world cup, the mexicans here act like he is the second coming of jesus...

Couldnt believe Fergie got him, I knew that would only mean red shirts everywhere with that shit name on them.

That being said, the kid is extremely talented and is is damn good. Maybe not as good as the rag wankfest would have you believe, but still will score a lot of goals. And correct me if Im wrong but wasnt he the fastest clocked player at the world cup?

Yep, that analysis is pretty much spot on for that game. But that's what it was...1 game. You can't dismiss a side of a player's game entirely just because of a single game! Well, you can, but you shouldn't.

I agree that its unfair to judge him on one game, but it was the sheer number of times that he was caught that made me realise how poor he was. You'd think he'd have figured out what they were doing at some point. Perhaps it was inexperience and the pressure got to him, but time will tell. He's lucky he wont be against many teams that can take 70% possession against United leaving him up top alone though.

Viva Ronaldo

Don't get me wrong pal he is a good player.
In fact he has potential to be a very good player.

Is he exceptional?

No.

The point being you guys are so used to seeing the woods
You cannot see the trees.

Straight swap tevez for little pen_s?

Why does everyone read my name as Viva Ronaldo?

Tevez is one of the best strikers in the world. Hernandez isn't. However, he's excellent in certain aspects of his game; his movement in and around the box being the main one.
