João Félix

He thinks he's better than he is

Fans for big clubs think he's better than he is

The fact clubs haven't really taken a punt on him shows, while talented, he's no world class talent

If the Atletico style wasn't enough, his Chelsea form pretty much summed him up

Some nice moments but ultimately frustrating

And he'd cost a bomb (fee and wages)
"He thinks he's better than he is"

Unless you know him personally or people around him that's a crock

He was a young player picked up from Portugal for well over 100M, and he has many suitors including us.

He is a huge talent that at this point in his career has not developed as expected, but he is 23, still young and still capable of delivering under the right coach.

Who exactly are his 'many suitors' not exactly a race to sign him is there?
I get you like him....but in reality, he's just nothing special, never has been, never will be.

Absolutely 100% this
Such a lazy excuse that absolves the player of all personal responsibility for his performances
Some players are positive, creative players that lose some of that when asked to be a manic presser/in the ref’s face/shithousing more than trying to score goals.

Could you imagine Ronaldinho or Kaka playing for Simeone?

How many players haven't gotten on with Simeone to such a public extent? Or rather how many attacking players has Simeone not thought of being worth the time or effort? The list of attacking players who've flourished with Simeone, regardless of how he sets Atleti up or his antics, speaks for itself, from Costa to Suarez to even a current 31-year-old Griezmann. He is just an outlier.. whether it's attitude or mentality or whatever reason, we just can't keep blaming Simeone or Fernando Santos for what he currently is.

For the 'it's Atleti's style' brigade, he was given a lifeline in January but other than producing highlight reel tricks and flicks did nothing to affect or win games for Chelsea, who even, in the end, with their erratic spending, never bothered to sign him permanently.

It's 2023..more than 4 years since he left Benfica, and people are still desperately holding onto the idea of him, rather than who he actually is as a player. He's just an 'if' player currently,, 'If he plays in the no. 10 position', 'If he plays in a possession based team' and the ifs go on and on. Even the ifs and excuses for Pogba weren't this many. Unless you are Messi, no decent manager is providing you with ideal conditions,,and as with all world class players, the cream will always rise to the top..and he just hasn't stepped up in the last 4 years.

If he wasn't good looking and or having a resemblance to Kun, maybe the threshold for him would be much higher, but for now, his pretty privilege and occasional flicks are keeping the idea of him alive.
Put it perfectly. He is all show no substance. Some say he will come good under Pep give it a try I would rather Pep give a try to someone of out own.

The fact he is the spit of a young Sergio means I’d take him, and I’d get to wear my Aguero shirt agai

That's just so emotional....

him, his agent, family and benfica were too greedy, it was obvious that atleti were a terrible fit (dont be silly and mention chelseas shitshow). Now he wasted some crucial years and will struggle to fulfill his potential, but hes probably good enough for the saudis

Surely we would have been in for him last few years if he was good enough and doesn’t he play in the Alvarez foden type of position? If so I’m sure that will go down well.
