What loaning out a £19 million Brazilian striker to one of our closest rivals, rather than some of the crap we still have in our team. (Benji, Vassell, Mills, Garrido could all be despatched for me)

What a load of crap. If he had been given some time by both fans and our Brazilian flair hating manager, then we might of started to see some return on our investment. But people were on the lads back from minute one. Mark my words, we will never see that player willingly play in a City shirt again.

everyone thought jo had hit form when he bagged 3 goals in 2 games at the start of the season. didn't really work out like that, so let's see what he's done after the next 3 or 4 games at everton.

Where do you get 19 million from? That might have been the cost of the deal based on a number of provisos, but we did not pay 19 million for him no where near that, when will some people get that into their heads

If you people want someone to blame for Jo's lack of form and loss of confidence, then take a good long look in the mirror. As I have posted earlier in this thread, I was disgusted by the lads treatment at the hands of his own fans in the game against Everton. Sadly, I've seen it all before (I bet a certain Mr Samaras is chuckling to himself). We have some excellent traits as supporters, but the way we treat young players, who are new to the league, and are trying to find their feet is just pathetic. I can't help thinking we are part of the problem and need to allow young players time to adjust to the pace and passion that is unique to the premier league! This is a forlorn hope however, because we have to many morons following our team, who think that barracking players is part of their birthright, and don't understand how destructive this is to a youngster's confidence. They don't have the brains to know that this type of thing NEVER improves a player, and has a negative effect not only on that player, but the rest of the team also.

I'd rather have loaned him to a club doing well rather than sendng him to some team in a relegation fight. Whats the point in loaning him out to a side worse off than us? Nt ging to make him a better prem league player or any more confident.

The other point touched on in this thead is why didn't Hughes ship out Benji. What was he supposed to do, knock on doors up and down the country asking if they wanted to buy/loan an injured player? Vass? Would you buy him?

everton's prime raison det're (spelling) for the next ten years is to stay up and not get relegated. Present form is the best they can ever acheive with their financial backing, evrything else is downhill. We, however, are on the up!!!!!!!!!!!

I really cannot remember when I last read so much garbage in one line of a thread ! Everton have continually outperformed many teams with a greater spending power ,they are the only team that has broken into the " usual suspects " cartel of a top 4 place in recent years , City have spent hundreds of millions and can't get within 9 points of Everton and this is without Yakubu who scored 21 goals last season ! Except for Shay Given playing , the mighty 'Boro would have walked away with 3 points , And Jo ? hasn't started a game for weeks , then goes to a team who you have just stated are trying to ' stay up an not get releated ' .. and scores twice , showing a glimpse of the form that warranted a £19m fee. I would be amazed if by the end of season, City are within 15 points of Everton...... Everything downhill for Everton ? look at the recent results against the 'sky4' , the only team to have beaten them .. Jo played class for city first 4-5 games. Just watch the chelsea,sunderland,pompey and omonia games where he scored 3 in 5.
