Cancelo, they cant afford a package for Silva with that.Barca with more cash = coming for Bernardo. Not good.

Imo we were very lucky last season with injuries. At the end of the season we had pretty much a fit squad which is very rare in top flight sport. It's unlikely we will be so lucky again.I wouldn't say the squad is incredibly thin as it stands we've lost gundogan and mahrez from the 1st team squad which has been replaced with kovacic and mcAtee I'd go as far as saying we've got an extra body in Cancelo from the squad that finished the season, my only worry is maybe not the same quality but only time will tell.
Im not sure how the corrupt fuckers are going to pay us (maybe a player deal)......but please be true.
Your just speculating with ifs and buts I'd be quite happy to go into the new season with what we've got.Imo we were very lucky last season with injuries. At the end of the season we had pretty much a fit squad which is very rare in top flight sport. It's unlikely we will be so lucky again.
This year we will have more games with the competitions we have qualified for with the CL win. Last season we also had Cancelo until he left for Bayern.
This season we have lost 2 top players who had good injury records, with Mahrez and Gundogan. Plus Walker and Cancelo look likely to leave, (there's uncertainty around Bernardo also).
Philips is looking increasingly unlikely to step up and produce football at the level we require.
I stand by my comment about our thin squad. The squad hasn't had as much rest and preseason prep that other rivals have had. We could easily get a couple of injuries with the extra games.
We need shrewd acquisitions to cover us for a harder season than normal, if we want to continue our incredible success at the highest levels.
Not really "if's and buts", it's facts we've had less rest, will be playing more games and we have less players than last year.Your just speculating with ifs and buts I'd be quite happy to go into the new season with what we've got.
1 of those is a fact tbf, the rest is a maybe. Not really "if's and buts", it's facts we've had less rest, will be playing more games and we have less players than last year.
More injuries will occur with more games and less players.
It will be a gamble to expect unproven academy players to fill voids.
not yet anyway.
The other unknown factor is motivation after last season. OK, Pep will be the ever demanding perfectionist but will the players have the same hunger? Not much left to go for once you've got the football 'Holy Grail '? As a veteran City fan i genuinely wouldn't be bothered if won nowt for a few years ( Except beating the Rags of course). It's been a long journey for me watching City, with lot's of lows. The highs are now great, but weirdly i wouldn't mind the odd low now and again for contrast! Maybe this is the season.Imo we were very lucky last season with injuries. At the end of the season we had pretty much a fit squad which is very rare in top flight sport.
