It’s really not that difficult to understand. Clubs usually do not want wankers in their dressing rooms hence there is no market for cancelo besides a very desperate Barcelona
 
This is about agents, not Cancelo. Mendes holds many, many cards, and he's played them well to get his two boys in at Barca for very little money. Don't forget how involved he is with Saudi, and how incredible their influence has been this summer. He has been their go to guy. No coincidence in my view that Laporte went through at the same time as this.
 
Glad he's actually going personally. Brilliant player but a bit spoilt when he doesn't start. Was always a recipe for disaster and as soon as his purple patch ended, he was only going one way - out the door.

Barca will be getting a great player, one which will start week in, week out in Spain and thus have no issues. Think the Spanish tempo and technical-based style will suit him too so a match made in heaven.

However, I wouldn't put it past the broke Barca bastards to make sure he stays below the limits of the loan deal which make them obligated to buy and we'll be stuck with him again next Summer with a lower value.

Time will tell.
 
Don't have an issue or any major worries with this.

We save £13m in salary and get potentially a £25m fee for a player nobody else wants or can afford with perhaps the exception of Arsenal who I would prefer not to sell to. Bottom line we either make this deal or cut our nose off to spite our face and hold on to a player who is not getting game time, pay out his salary and watch his value continue to fall.

If Barca don't take up the option then at 30 still the opportunity to offload to Saudis.

We have already made the mistake. That was offering him an extension and upping his wage from £80k to £250k. Yes he was playing well at the time but we got that wrong unfortunately and now need to deal with it as he won't accept being a squad player on limited minutes.

Can't win them all and fortunately Barca daft enough to take him. If we get a loan fee on top of the one we got from Bayern even better

How did his contract get extended if he was not fitting in? Is their any proof apart from that he wanted to go out on loan last winter? It seems like their are loads of itk people on here putting him down but all I have seen reported as fact is that there was a robbery at his house and then not long after he wanted out. Another multi million pound transfer bites the dust. There has to be a better way of protecting an investment than shipping them out the door at the earliest opportunity and having half the fanbase turning on him.
 
Should had been loan with option to buy at minimum €50 Mill. If Barca wouldnt pay that next summer then surely some club in Saudi would had and we would should have put a verbal condition for this Barca loan to Mendes and Cancelo that if Barca werent buying that sum next summer then he would have to leave for Saudi.We have played into the hands of Cancelo, Mendes and Barca. The only party coming out worse from this deal is us. Imagine what Bernie must be thinking. Wonder why we gave that petulant Cancelo £250k p/w in first place.

Wonder if they are paying his wages tho ? I wouldn’t be surprised if they pay the loan fee and we pay the wages. They keep there wages low helping them with FFP Spanish FFP and we make more profit helping us with FFP

Read the tweet it says Barcelona will pay his wages as well and why it's 25m not 60m we were asking from Bayern
