Well if you are looking at small details and how to improve an already good team then thats one of the areas. Being content is what keeps you standing still. Theres always improvements to be made somewhere.

As someone who watched the vast majority of Juventus matches last season it appeared to me that Cancelo had a good first half. The 2019 part of the season revealed a player who was clearly lacking confidence. Quite why was a mystery and Allegri benched him for a brief period.on his return he was OK.

I’m not sure he will improve our defensive capabilities and I’d rather we looked elsewhere.

Watched him a few times & he certainly has similarities as Walker in fact he does look quicker & better passer of the ball.

Doesn’t make em right though. That would be one Of my issues tbh, it’s too easy to pick faults and slag players off. I try and be more rational

That was my point. I agree leaving it to the club seems to be working just fine.

Wouldn't mind seeing Walker play CB more and more if another fullback comes in. Or Walker plays in a back 3 (as he usually does for us) and Cancelo wingback playing together.

If Walker goes CB and we continue with a back 4, then we have Walker, Stones and Laporte for 2 spots, so maybe the club doesn't have to splash on another center back (although I hope we still do).

The idea of Walker at CB is a bit crazy to me, he is our defender with the most lapses in decision making. Why would anyone want to put him where those lapses could be most fatal blows my mind.

Purely because of his recovery pace, I guess, but that would be in a back 3, with Mendy & Cancelo providing the width.

I doubt we'd play much with a back 3 but if we do, I guess that might work. But I'd rather play Dihno there. As a lot of our posseseion will be in the hands of the flanking CBs.

The amount of bad decisions he makes on and off the ball is staggering.
His pace and strength as a defender however are probably the best in world football.

I wish he could just focus more. He could be a decent asset at CB if he didn't have so many brain farts. And his brain farts a lot. Like diarrhoea amounts of brain farts.

Not sure Walker is in decline but he’s played football for 20 odd months without any appreciable break - with the World Cup last summer. His focus and concentration have - as you say - been poor at times but I’d be hopeful that a few weeks off might do him the world of good and he might come back for pre season feeling refreshed. I guess we’ll only know in time but it might be that Walker needs to play less to get the best out of him.
