I like your faith, but it's getting very close to the wire. Pep is notoriously not a manager who says "Go out there and just play your game, son". He likes time, he is a maniac for detail, he likes to work on precise points of a player's game with him, and he likes to work on how he fits into his system. If Cancelo were coming in this window, I think he would have wanted a decent period of this sort with him.
I don't give up hope that he'll come in a future window. Maybe even January.

Nope. He'd work him slowly into the system, in a team that would already be much in place for the season by then. I'm not saying it's at all likely by the way.
His versatility is a myth. People only think he's versatile because we're constantly told he is and on and on it goes. Besides, we don't need any more left backs and he wouldn't play there next season anyway.prefer Danilo for his versatility
