sorry joao, on current form walker keeps his place

Some are underestimating Cancelo here, Walker will have fight on his hands to keeps his spot. Maybe not immediately but once he settles. Not sure you can describe one competitive game as 'current form'. Walker was our best player yesterday, he was incredible, and if he keeps that up he'll be starting all season, but here's the thing with Walker: it's impossible for him to keep it up. He runs so much that if he's not properly rotated he'll be shattered by December again.
Let's see how Cancelo fairs in his first few apps before deciding who's got RB nailed down yet.
does he count his birthdays in dog years ?You should always improve the squad from a position of strength to avoid overpaying. Walker will soon be a few years older and we’d be getting quoted all sorts to replace him. Cancelo is younger and keeps the squad healthier medium term. We can now focus on other areas over the next few years instead of worrying about RB.
To all saying Cancelo won't play at LB:
Let's say (on the) Mendy misses 10 games straight coming up (not exactly a wild stretch of the imagination), or the next time he has a health induced vacation of, say, 10 games:
Walker barring injury plays 7 out of those at RB, Cancelo plays the balance of 3.
In those 7 games where we have Angelino and Zinch... You're telling me Cancelo will not feature in at least a few of those?
We aren't buying him so Bernie can keep his colloquial Portuguese sharp.

You do realise that walker only turned 29 in May and has a few years in him left at the top.You should always improve the squad from a position of strength to avoid overpaying. also a left back friendWe should be looking to upgrade at every available opportunity if we want to remain on top so I’m al for it. But unless Cancelo has similar attributes to Walker, with his pace, covering and 1v1 defending, I don’t see the amount of games Walker plays drastically changing with this signing. He’s simply too crucial to our anti-counter tactics for him to sit out any of the big games.
