Joe Hart (continued)

One poor kickout that went out for a throw, aside from that distribution was fine.

His performance in general was indifferent.

If he was aware of what was going on in front of him the second Italian goal could have been prevented.

They were crossing from the right all night and only Cahill was in the middle when Balotelli pulled off to the far post.

If Joe had got to that post then Balotelli would not have scored but he stayed far too central and left room.

He also has always had problems with low shots near to the posts and does not seem to have found a solution as yet.

Exactly, if he'd pulled back to the back post he'd have left his near post wide open and been slaughtered for it. Do they want him in 2 places at the same time.
I'm presuming George is on the wum. Pirlo's shot was going to Joe's right when he hit it and Joe was actually heading in that direction. The ball swerved a ridiculous amount to Joe's left which left him nowhere. If he'd stayed where he was they'd be calling him for that too.

Joe did OK last night.

I think we could do with some decent competition for our number 1 spot so we could do worse than sign Pepe Reina

The former Sunderland goalkeeper is now a free agent, and City may choose to make him their new backup in place of Costel Pantilimon

Manchester City are ready to make a surprise move for free-agent keeper Keiren Westwood as Joe Hart’s new No.2.

Republic of Ireland star Westwood has left Sunderland and is looking for a club – with City keen to take him on as Costel Pantilimon heads out.

29-year-old Westwood has plenty of experience and may be ideal for the role and the fact there is no fee also helps City at this stage.

Far-travelled Westwood comes from Manchester and was with City as a kid, so it would be an emotional return for him.

Hart has now established himself as the top man under manager Manuel Pellegrini and Pantilimon’s desire to play elsewhere has created a problem.
