I think its time for Joe to just concentrate on Football . Its time for Joe to retire from adverts . Willy arriving should give Joe a massive kick up the back side . If Joe loses his place in the team next season . I don't think Manuel will give him a 2nd chance next season .

I suspect Joe will be under pressure from his first pre-season appearance. You don't spend 6 million plus on a benchwarmer - Willy was Pellegrini's man in Spain and will be coming here for the long term.... As Pellegrini's first choice.

Joe's ego won't take it, and will be on his way in due course - possibly by the end of the summer window. He'll get a very lucrative move and we'll get very good money for him. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we've already got a new number 2 keeper (British) lined up.

Joe's ego won't take it? I must have missed the part where his supposedly big ego showed when he got dropped for pants last season. Oh wait he just got his head down and worked harder in training and won his place back like the professional he is. Stop chatting bollocks.

We'll see...

One of the main reasons Joe 'won' his place back last season was the media outcry over 'England's No 1 goalkeeper' being benched during the season prior to the World Cup. He may well have"got his head down and worked harder in training", but that suggests that he was not working hard enough beforehand... Not exactly the sort of 'professional' approach I'd expect from our first choice keeper.

Don't get me wrong; I do like Joe Hart - I simply don't rate him as highly as some on here, and don't think he's the best we could have... Mancini apparently had Begovic lined up and was (allegedly) going to get rid of Hart. Pellegrini has had a full season working with him and will have formed an opinion - If he has concluded that Joe Hart is 'the best', why is he spending 6 million or so on Caballero? Do you think Bergeristan and Co would be OK with spending that much on a reserve keeper? There are plenty of very good benchwarmers out there - Why wouldn't they save money and get a cheap Brit?

If you honestly believe that Willy is only coming to 'put pressure on Hart', then you need to give your head a wobble.

As for Joe's ego... I think you'll find that he has been a big influence in the dressing room...maybe a bit too big for certain players and coaching staff. I suspect he's going to be brought down a peg (or two) - He / his agent probably won't like that very much.

We'll see...

Joe will be no1 from the get go.

Stiff competition will make him better, he isn't going anywhere in a hurry

pellegrini brought demichelis in , and no matter how badly he played ,in the 1st few games , lescott didnt get another chance , i hope joe has a great start to the season , and doesnt give pellers any excuse to play caballero , i think a young english keeper like westwood would have been a better buy.

One of the main reasons was the media outcry??? So you believe Pellegrini is that weak willed? Wind it in!

I have no problem if Caballero starts most games.
Dont think he is worse than Hart.

Certainly lot closer to Pellegrini and the trust/confidence between manager and goalkeeper is really important. Especially important.

Not saying Hart's days are numbered tho I dont think Pelle would shed many tears if he had to let go Sinclair, Rodwell, Milner, Hart, Barry, Richards, Lescott in one summer. Hart and Milner will stay now, but for how long thats a mystery. Not that long would be my feeling...

Yeah and then we'd have a 17 man squad challenging for 4 trophies
