No - not even close. More like €20m which is 17ish million pound.£30 million plus for a 33 year old keeper? Is that right though?

Reports and Ric said it's about 17 m,seems reasonable

Claudio Bravo will join Manchester City for an initial £13.9m (€16m) with an additional £3.5m (€4m) in add-ons. [Marca]Thought the 17m included the add-ons and the un added price was 13 and a bit mill
yup, marca reported £14m + £3m in add onsThought the 17m included the add-ons and the un added price was 13 and a bit mill
Keeper wasn't a problem position, and before the weekend I'd have said he would be given time. But after Saturday I realise the keepers kicking, speed of thought and choice of pass is the foundation of the whole team. While other positions can learn the philosophy they have to do it on a strong foundation from somebody who already instinctively understands it.Clue: it won't be Joe who stays.
There is no way this is about football because, if it was, he'd have been given a season. Keeper was not a position that gave us a problem.
I'm even beginning to think this decision was actually made a while ago but we were waiting for Pep to arrive and basically give the club a smokescreen to carry it through.
Brilliant. I definitely get why you think so highly of him then! Like I say I was too young to appreciate just how good he was when he was at City. Sounds like you had some great Maine Road memories! One of mine was down at Platt Lane in the days where it was access all areas... Paul Lake and Tony Coton were both coming back from serious injuries and were doing some light passing exercises. One of them hit a stray pass in to the groundsmans shed, I went and got the ball back for them so they started including me in their kick about. Absolute gents. Like everyone else I was gutted when Cotton signed for United the next year!
No, the rumour that Pep told Joe "See you next Tuesday" had nothing to do with starting line-up ;-)I thought I'd read that Hart was likely to start tonight so not sure if that holds true? I'd agree with it otherwise.
TC was my hero as a budding goalkeeper myself. Was gutted when he left. He did give me a pair of his sondico gloves though which made a teenage boy very happy.Ha, that access of yesteryear is long gone,no doubt...
Obviously there was money around in the 90s but these guys were original stock, from a pre premiership era, all down to earth blokes, however, it could never last and it didn't... I'd say TC and Curley were my favs, both always taking time out with me to be mischievous, normally at that twat Lishas (excuse the spelling) expense.
Curles son posts on here...
Crossbar challenges and back heels into coffee cups? Well there you go, that's that settled..I'm loving the lies about Hart not being able to pass. He can. He regularly wins cross bar challenge competitions that the players do amongst themselves, he takes a mean penalty, can back heel any dropped object (typically a coffee cup) into a nearby container (typically a bin), he can do endless freestyle football actions (keepy ups for those of my age) and even a Rabona of two.
He's been back from the Euros for 3 weeks and is being asked to play in games as he has never played before at City or for England. Willy has been back for 6 weeks and that is the main reason that he got the nod on Saturday. Let's also note that for the last 3 years he's been told to hump it up the pitch as our legacy defence can't pass it's way out of a paper bag - they were bought to defend. Even with newer additions Mangala and Otamendi it's like watching clones of Corporal Jones panicking when they get pressed.
If Pep want's him out it's because he doesn't like his character or he thinks he is disruptive. Anyway we shall soon find out.
The footballing reasons don't sound too credible to me as from what I have seen his abilities on the ball as a keeper are better than most even if the stats show that he boots it long continually. The fact that he boots it long, doesn't mean he can't play the short game.Clue: it won't be Joe who stays.

That's my impression too. I've seen him in warm ups and he's technically far better than the other keepers. The only keeper that ever rivalled him footballing wise was Schmeichel and at the time Schmeichel really struggled on crosses and high balls into the box.I'm loving the lies about Hart not being able to pass. I think the non-footballing argument is much more persuasive even if it hasn't been spelled out. The footballing argument doesn't make sense because from what I have seen he's really good with the ball. It will remain a mystery. I'm quite happy with Bravo. The main thing is we have a competent keeper, but after watching Joe for years you're bound to have some sympathy. If you don't then there's something wrong with you in my opinion. I know he gets paid a lot and could no doubt go elsewhere but this is his club and there is such a thing as pride. The characteristics Pep is looking for all rely on speed of thought. Unfortunately Joe is a ditherer and that's not good when the opposition know it.
He does have a point though, reading some of the posts some are under the impression Hart is terrible with the ball at his feet but he's far from it(I've seen him show some surprising skill for a keeper albeit never under pressure bar that penalty) which is a sign he really could adapt his game, being cool under pressure and his distribution is clearly what he needs to work on.Crossbar challenges and back heels into coffee cups? The point is it doesn't translate into the pitch. You seem to struggle with that as it's been pointed out several times.
I'm not sure if you're serious with that post but judging from se of your others I fear you are.
