How bloody often do we need a keeper to pass the ball compared with keep it out of the net?
The word has gone mad when we're supposed to admire a keeper 'passing' it out.

Valdes wasn't doing this for Barca - and they did rather well.

It's a cherry on top of the cake, not a main ingredient. If Joe's on the way out, it's not for this reason. There's more to it.

Thought something didn't feel right when he didn't start in the Arsenal friendly.

I think his confident attitude is what has helped him to the heights he's reached BUT there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance.

It seems that his assumption that he would continue to be number one without changing his playing style has led to him falling out with Pep, who doesn't mind mistakes but won't tolerate players who flat out defy his tactics.

Valdes was amazing with the ball at his feet. He is also one of the best passers of the ball.

Sorry but I don't understand that reply - are you saying that we can only play 4 English trained players in the CL ?
Sorry - in the PL we can name up to 8 "locally trained" players in our 25 man squad. These don't have to be club-trained as long as they've been at an English (or Welsh) club for the qualifying period. In the CL we can only name up to 4 such players in the squad, with at least another 4 being club-trained (i.e. at City).

That means that having those 5 locally trained players doesn't impact our PL squad but if we sell Hart & buy Ter Stegen he would have to take a foreign slot. In the CL squad, one of the five locally trained players would have to take a free place anyway, so it doesn't make any difference to the CL squad if we replace Hart with Ter Stegen.

You want there to be more in it, sadly the reality is he is flawed..
