You know nothing John Snow, it may take time but I do think he could adapt to it he'd be 2nd choice working on it with Bravo and Pep until he gets to the level required(could take months but if he wants it he could do it). He doesn't have two left feet that's a fallacy there are videos of him showing skill, overhead kicks, crossbar challenges, he's not that old and he's in good shape... impossible is a stupid assumption, not worth the time it would take along with the other problems that apparently come with it I'll buy that possibly as sad as it is.
I think that's the truth of it. He only probably has 3 seasons and he doesn't want to waste one of those waiting to see if Joe Hart can come good.

Yeh we all need to calm down a bit, most of us aren't getting on Pep's back or the clubs about it just as those who agree he's not up to it aren't giving him pelters on the way out rather than their thanks. It's a difficult subject being spoiled by the few.

just listened to the podcast and my take is joe has attitude and there is no room for that at this club, joe is not bigger than mcfc and now has to move on

Ian Cheeseman does seem to hint towards this. Along with others on here suggesting an incident or incidents not yet in the press.

Just listened to Ian Cheeseman on the excellent American Cityzens podcast. He was being very diplomatic but had clearly heard something. He made it clear though that (a) it was a personal rather than a football issue and (b) he was out and there was no way back.

That just reinforces my belief that something has happened prior to Pep coming that crossed a line, that a decision was taken some time ago and Pep's arrival represents an opportunity to execute that decision.

Are the people that run the club so cowardly that they need an excuse? If they want rid of him for non football reasons then they should have the courage to fuck him off when it happened, not wait until they can put the responsibility on someone else shoulders.
I've heard a few things now as to why Hart is not wanted. He can't play the way the team want, he's too powerful in the dressing room and an agitator, and the other, the non football reason that can't be mentioned because of the words "super" and "injunction".
I'm not sure which one of them is the reason he's being fucked off, but I hope it's the first.

you need to re read the post I was replying to instead of jumping on my fucking back mate
I can see you're getting more and more wound up with every post you make so it's best to leave it here. I've made my points in a calm, polite and respectful manner, even if they happen to be contrary to yours. The idea wasn't to jump on your back or anyone else's.

Have you seen the HYS on the BBC site? Every joker thinks he's the first one to make a hilarious H&S gag. And the amount of abuse based on those ads is amazing. People saying he's a preening Ponce more interested in his hair. Because he has a contract with H&S!!! He might not even use it! I've never really known people to be quite that stupid. And as if Sports Personalities never accepted sponsorship or endorsement deals. They probably all think EastEnders is real too.

My 5c - he's been an amazing keeper for City, made the odd mistake but more than made up for them and always got himself back to a level above. However, only once you see what Pep's tactics involve, do you realise that there are no passengers. Nothing is accidental, nobody is signed because they're quite good and Pep will find room for them somehow. The average football supporting knobhead thinks City just buy up anyone and everyone they can get their hands on and they're all mercenaries. I know we're all heavily invested, but nobody else has the first clue about Pep. They really don't. They all think that he's just trying to assert himself by selling Joe. They really don't understand that Joe hoofing it long wrecks everything, and they also think that repeating 'sweeper-keeper' makes them appear knowledgeable. The general consensus is that Joe can learn to pass a ball 10 yards sideways, Pep just wants to get rid of the English players (like he's going to do with Raheem in January apparently!!!)
The mixture of responses have been either that Joe is shit (which he's not) or that he's been treated appallingly (again, I don't think so - he's being given an alternative option before the transfer window closes).
He's saved us more times than we can remember and we should thank him for it.
Hopefully he will be gracious enough in turn to accept he can't fit into Pep's plans currently and will enjoy a new challenge elsewhere, because he should be at another top club, playing CL football and trying to keep his England place that Fat Sam has clearly already given away.

That's got to be the biggest load of bollocks about Sterling going in January.

Those putting forward the opposite view aren't saying he never could adapt - just that it's unlikely in the rapid time frame, and there could be other keepers available who could adapt quicker or are already at a level Pep wants for this specific needs.
The other issue put forward isn't that he has no control, or can't do keepy uppy / crossbar challenge, it's about doing it with Suarez, Neymar and Messi closing you down! or even the likes of Costa and Hazard.

Ultimately, by Pep's way of playing - can the keeper turn the ball around very rapidly so that we can turn being under pressure into a counter attack? If we can't do that quickly and the keeper picks up the ball and takes too long to decide, the moment is lost - and the very top teams will be back in position. Schmeichel used to throw it out with considerable speed and accuracy at one time - which was along the same lines. It was devastatingly effective, but then you're limited to picking the ball up inside the box and you need to have his throwing skills!
