I do hope we are the exception to Pep's 3 season pattern, more than three years obviously before tempting fate haha.

Even if we aren't, Pep is still building for the future and will leave us in a great position. Unlike that **** over at the swamp who is building for now and fuck whoever comes after me.

You'd have to think we might be, given the age profile of the players we have bought so far. Many of them will be coming into their prime in three years. I wonder if the team that has 'the oldest squad in the league' will be mentioned as often this season, as it was last?
But that doesn't count 'cos they have been at the club since they were in their nappies.

That was Moyes' fault that surely. ;)

i think he'l be here for many years to come, a short contract at the start just incase he hate's life in Manchester or finds out the promises from our owners means nothing, he'l be given an extension after next season

I think we'd tie him down for life if we could. Unfortunately it won't be about us offering him an extension, it will be more about whether he wants to stay beyond his 3 years. I hope to God you're right though.

That's got to be the biggest load of bollocks about Sterling going in January.

One of the 'signing foreign players making our national team worse' brigade.

I think he was being ironic.

I wasn't, the guy who said it may have been but I actually don't think so. Apparently Stones will rot on the bench along with all the other young players whilst we buy 500 overrated foreigners (no signs of xenophobia or anything!).

I don't comment on other teams if I haven't seen them enough or know how their team operates. But every other prick out there seems to feel qualified enough to pass comment on City's business.

Again, nobody has a clue about Pep, not a Scooby, he is so different to anything that has gone before that people just reckon he must do his training drills a bit differently and has different man-management or something. Nobody can comprehend that he's not just a big name to make the oppo scared, to argue with Mourinho in the tabloids. he's a complete re-inventor of the game with a master plan that counters traditional tactics and formations to devastating effect. I think people presume some supremo is sent out to gather 'young talent' and galacticos and toss them at his feet to make sense of. Nobody appreciates he has ideas and a list of players who would work for each position.

Let's not fight amongst ourselves here, because out in the 'balancing your beer on your fourth stomach' world of pub punditry, there are far bigger c***s with a greater ability to repeat the tabloid trash mixed with a healthy dose of their brother's mate's Dad's insider knowledge.

Sorry, but anyone suggesting that Sterling is not part of Pep's plan, clearly doesn't understand Pep's plan, as I'm pretty sure Pep was behind us buying Sterling last summer, and while he wasn't at his best last year, Pep's comments about him at the moment suggest he's very much part of the plan. So anyone suggesting otherwise is an idiot.

My point exactly! I'm so tired of discussing football with anyone because they just flick through the Daily Star sport section and repeat some shit as if it's gospel.
People still want Sterling to be shit because they said he was 6 weeks ago. Joe is slightly different because he was definitely shit in the Euros right, but they might be able to get another dig at City if they go down the 'treated badly by the club' route.
Of course if you provide a logical response, they change angle on the argument and walk off with their fingers in their ears proclaiming an intellectual victory!
