I do hope we are the exception to Pep's 3 season pattern, more than three years obviously before tempting fate haha.

Those putting forward the opposite view aren't saying he never could adapt - just that it's unlikely in the rapid time frame, and there could be other keepers available who could adapt quicker or are already at a level Pep wants for this specific needs.
The other issue put forward isn't that he has no control, or can't do keepy uppy / crossbar challenge, it's about doing it with Suarez, Neymar and Messi closing you down! or even the likes of Costa and Hazard.

Ultimately, by Pep's way of playing - can the keeper turn the ball around very rapidly so that we can turn being under pressure into a counter attack? If we can't do that quickly and the keeper picks up the ball and takes too long to decide, the moment is lost - and the very top teams will be back in position. Schmeichel used to throw it out with considerable speed and accuracy at one time - which was along the same lines. It was devastatingly effective.
You're quite right. I would posit that you would find that the problem isn't with what he can do with his feet, more with what he can do with his brain.

Ian Cheeseman does seem to hint towards this. Along with others on here suggesting an incident or incidents not yet in the press.

if that's the case and it will certainly come out over the next few days then he's dug his own hole, this business about a delegation of players arriving at Mancini's door prior to the cup final hints at a form of player Mutiny, now we have had some bad apples in amongst the playing squad, players who think they are above the club and i'm afraid Joe is one of them he'l be gone along with one or two others,Yaya and Nasri

It is a shame, but if we can make a profit on Joe rather than having him sit on the bench purely out of sentiment then I know which one I'm for, not that anyone has suggested the latter. I'm all for seeing him at Dortmund, would hate to see him playing in the prem against us, thanks for the memories.

Also I'd love to know what he's apparently done aswell to merit a super injunction (probably bs)

You'd have to think we might be, given the age profile of the players we have bought so far. Many of them will be coming into their prime in three years. I wonder if the team that has 'the oldest squad in the league' will be mentioned as often this season, as it was last?

I say that comes with repetition, Joe's only just started joining in the rondos hasn't he? He has the tools though was my point, some were actually under the impression he doesn't have anything to work with, there are keepers who you could say there's no chance with but for me not Joe. We'll probably never know now the level he could have reached though but he'll be fine, hope he does get the BVB move that's a great club.
