because he showed he was good enough for us and one of the best in the league. mancini wanted rid of hart before we won the league and wanted begovic

As everybody knows we won the league with Mancini and Hart in 2012. In summer 2013 he would have got rid of him. The fact that we won the league again the following year is irrelevant.

Over Hart? Would be disappointing if you let one player spoil what an incredible opportunity we have. For me, could take or leave Hart - certainly not a complete keeper, with technical and physical deficiencies that simply can't be ironed out. The surprise, I grant you, is that it wasn't the first position I thought needed strenghening - so I also think there could be non football issues that Pep wasn't keen on. Why let it spoil the ride - this isn't Pelle or Hughes making a decision - this is the best of the best.

And he has my full backing,as a seasoncard holder I'll make my judgements,am sure he will get it right for us,but it's the comments about a guy who has done arguably more than most in his time here/in the team I'm struggling to comprehend really

And how long had you been thinking that for ?

Was obviously tongue in cheek, however, there was no surprise in the decision, I know peps system and his preference of how to play the game... Personally I think the writing was on the wall the minute he confirmed he was coming, I don't believe Joe can be coached, sufficiently, to play in his team regularly, which he undoubtedly would want...

Undoubtedly

I am short sighted yes and long sighted. Need to get some decent bins. Thansk for asking.

Ok - Gelson Fernandes replaced by David Silva. Scott Sinclair replaced by Navas. I could go on all day.

Of course Joe Harts career is not over but i would guess he is about the 6th to 10th best keeper in the prem. So he is going to play for Everton probably who are about the 6th to 10th best team.

Do you want to keep him as first choice? All the evidence suggests that Bravo is better and more suited to our new style. If Joe loves City stay and be number 2 and work like mad on your kicking. If he doesnt he can go - he has the safety net of a fantsatic contract until 2019. What is the issue?
6th-10th best keeper in the Prem??

Which 5-9 Prem keepers would you put above him?

I can only think of United, Chelsea, Arsenal & Chelsea who you could potentially consider as 'better' than Joe, but I'd say not much to choose between any of them, although I also appreciate its all about opinions.

"Less fussed about his goalkeeper being a dribble wizard" a quote from Koeman in the Liverpool Echo Everton page,on whether they should take him, that line sums it up perfectly for me and did make me chuckle

I've seen a lot worse said about Toure and he has been equally if not more instrumental in our success IMO. There have been pretty vitriolic things said on here about both players which I don't agree with but ultimately if the manager doesn't feel either is up to the job he wants of them (or for attitude or any other reasons), then he should have our full support in making those changes.

Cant believe some of the tripe im readin on this thread, some of you should be ashamed of yourselves, keep going on about no one is bigger than the club, but creaming your knickers and acting like Pep is bigger than the club. Im not a hart fan or a pep fan im a Manchester City fan, my club was an honourable one with heart and soul to it, it matters how we do things.
The treatment of a man that has won us far far more points than he has cost us is a disgrace and you lot with your knives out are no better than plastic rag fans who care only about what glory they can sniff out next. Think a lot of you are supporting the wrong team RAGs.

Saw your comment. Checked the vid. Saw Joe Hart's fact at around 3:10. Disappointed. Not exactly what I'd call a 'face like thunder'; I think we're now trying to find any example of when he might be diva-like to fit this narrative of him being a right b'stard.

As it happens, I believe the claims that he is an arrogant and difficult bloke; too many claims and examples from different sources support this view - but this vid isn't one of them!

There's nowt there! He's a typical bloke with a nice car - a bit worried about the paintwork being damaged, but that's it. Took it all in good spirits, but then there's a camera on him too.
I thought Silva looked a bit nonplussed!

Definitely a case of 'seemed a good idea in the pub' that one!
