Neighbour of mine, top IT guy. He's an Everton fan but knows a couple of people who work at City. One of them txt him earlier because they knew he was interested if Hart was maybe going to Everton. He's never told me anything before but he wouldnt say it to wum.

What if it's not only his sweeper keeper skills but also his attitude that isn't good enough. Is that going to be corrected in 12 months.

His attitude to the club and team are top notch, he is one of ours, almost part of the fabric of the last 5 or 6 years.

His attitude to being dropped and told to learn has been shite if what I have read is to be believed.

And yes I expect that wouold be changed in 12 months, Kolarov is a shining example.

At the very latest Joe found out Pep was coming on the 1st February. And it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Pep quite likes keepers who can play out from the back, something Joe was never very good at. Meaning Hart had about half a year to improve his passing skills- bearing in mind he is a highly paid professional footballer who for most of this period was training as a goalkeeper for several days a week. And he didn't improve at all. Not a good start. Then Pep arrives and subs Joe on at half time against Arsenal. Within 30 seconds Joe has received the ball once and blasted it forward over the sidelines and out of play. Throughout the game he barely even tried to play Pep's way. This is opposed to Caballero who not only tried to play Pep's way but did it much more effectively than Joe ever has, in terms of passing success rate.

I love Joe Hart but I can completely understand Pep's reasoning for dropping him and actually agree with it.

Also, one more thing: Pep is not asking Joe to be a sweeper keeper. In fact, that's barely a real style. Neuer is kind of unique. Pep's just asking Joe to work on passing and ability to control the ball under pressure, which is much more common.

"Less fussed about his goalkeeper being a dribble wizard" a quote from Koeman in the Liverpool Echo Everton page,on whether they should take him, that line sums it up perfectly for me and did make me chuckle
Not many managers do but we have one who definitely does. So it might be great for Everton but then Koeman isn't the most sought after manager on the planet.

Nope,but still made me laugh
I see your point mate, I really do, as I do for all blues unhappy with Hart moving on.
I also see what we're trying to build so am more accepting of what needs to be done. Horses for courses isn't it.

How does that correlate to him appearing to deliberately ignore what he knew Pep was wanting from him when playing the 2nd half against Le Ars

The best way to solve this tussle between sentimentality & footballing decision is to just hv open training sessions for season-ticket holders and then hv a poll for them to decide the starting 11 for each game. And then real-time polling again during matches so they decide who should be subbed out and in. A manager (again voted by fans) can be installed to just manage in-game tactics, training drills, fitness, diet. And transfers too can be handled by fan polling with the club announcing the budget during each summer. And then a fan agent (again voted by fans) does the negotiation with the chosen club/player. Fans can hv no complaints then.
