Plenty of "Don't sell Joe Hart" stuff chants before game yesterday. Intriguingly, when Caballero made some duff kicks, a few fans tried to start it during the match (right behind Caballero). There were no takers.

some dont like change, even when the change is positive. they are the same type that complain for a while when a 50p coin is redesigned!!

i believe this is our best transfer of the summer, and thats saying something. joe hart will always have my admiration, but i want my team to become the best, and if pep says this is how we go about it then, by fuck, i'll be right behind him!

I do support Pep as manager, but I'm entitled to an opinion. Doesn't mean I'm no Blue. No-one, even a legend like Pep, is entitled to blind support. Just for the record, I've been going to City home and away since 1967. I lived on the south coast for three years - but still took my kids to every City home game and that was when we were two Divisions down. And you say I'm no Blue......................

You being "entitled" to your opinion means nothing. If you genuinely support Pep as a manager, then you should support this decision as well. Pep's entitled to build HIS team the way HE wants it in his first year in charge. If it doesn't work out in the long run, by all means cast doubt on his abilities to manage in the EPL, but you're doing that before he's even had a chance.

Doesn't matter about family history, if you put one player above the good of the club then I question whether you're a Blue.

We all know that pep planned to get rid of Hart the day he became our manager.

Well said, go on mate.
Would you think the man in charge is allowed to do so?
Try to figure out Pep's intention. Could there be any reasons for his decision?

Look Harry, of course you are a Blue, much longer than most of the lads on here I guess. It's also correct to defend Joe as a City player.
I assume your biggest concern is the way things happen now and that in your view Joe doesn't get the chance he deserves.

Pep has a special vision of playing football and for that he has been brought to City. One fundamental aspect is a keeper who is involved in the build-up. There is only one man who could decide if Joe is able to do so, that's Pep. If you cannot accept that, well it's a different story.

Football has changed over the years and it will go on like that. You have seen at the EURO how difficult it has become to score against average teams with a well organized defence. Yesterday Klopp has seen his team have more than 80% possession but didn't create chances.
So he said: "We need to have a plan for deep defending teams."

Pep has got that plan as we already have seen with our own eyes and Joe will not be part of it. Get over it.

Great post.

You say that me being entitled to my opinion 'means nothing'. Well, it means enough for you to take the time to comment...... I'm not casting doubt on Pep's ability - he's arguably the world's best coach/manager, but you're wrong in claiming that only those who support his decisions are genuine Blues. We're talking about a football club here, not some rogue State that deals severely with citizens who don't agree with every decision of their glorious leader. This is a forum for opinions or haven't you noticed ?
