Joe is not being given the chance to adapt. Mixed messages "Stay and improve, but I'm signing a guy four years older than you for twenty times the fee you were signed for."

This is for the benefit of the media and has been clarified on here numerous times. He said similar things about Dante and then sold him a week later.

Tbh I'm getting a bit sick of going round in circles here.

Some people just simply don't get it.

We may lose a couple of goals this season if players rob our goalkeeper of possession but we'll pass it out from the back far more comfortably far more often and create far more chances than our opponents by taking those risks.

Yep exactly the way I see it. Example: fouth goal yesterday.

We already create more chances than any team in the Prem and have done for years. City's problem for three years has been - start the game well, go one up, take the foot off the gas, opposition equalise - points thrown away. But, game in, game out, we have 20 attempts on goal. Chance creation is not the problem.

The Prem is different from anything Pep will have known. The likes of Welbeck and Vardy are onto GKs with the ball at their feet in no time. Other players will soon latch onto GKs who think they're sweepers. If it goes wrong, will Bravo lose confidence ?

The mighty EPL?

There is a nasty wind in Nuremburg sometimes, too - and in the winter there is snow on the pitch in some matches in Germany. The opponents - especially in Cup matches but it sometimes happens in other matches - does not cut the grass or you have to play on a bad surface - and the pitch is not watered....

The players of the other teams were always taller than the Bayern players with some 1,70m players but last season Bayern did not get one goal against at a corner...

There is fast strikers in other leagues, too - and in the CL... who will try to press the goalkeeper. Even more when they know that it makes sense...

And the EPL is not really known for its pressing intensity...

Agree... There will be some who can't wait for Bravo to make his first mistake

Plenty of "Don't sell Joe Hart" stuff chants before game yesterday. Intriguingly, when Caballero made some duff kicks, a few fans tried to start it during the match (right behind Caballero). There were no takers.

Fuck off, I'm sick of this "PEP WON'T UNDERSTAND THE PREM" bullshit. It's all an excuse not to give the man the full backing to do what he does best and it needs to stop.

We bought into Guardiola and he's buying into Bravo, a consensus top five keeper in the World. You can legitimately be upset at seeing a club stalwart like Joe move on, but to fall short of giving Pep your full support at this stage means you're no Blue.
I do support Pep as manager, but I'm entitled to an opinion. Doesn't mean I'm no Blue. No-one, even a legend like Pep, is entitled to blind support. Just for the record, I've been going to City home and away since 1967. I lived on the south coast for three years - but still took my kids to every City home game and that was when we were two Divisions down. And you say I'm no Blue......................

I never said it was, I merely pointed out the extra chances we will create are in my opinion worth the risks of playing out from the back.
