He will have to pass the ball out better than he does currently & the players will have to learn to be ready to control or pass it better than they have. It shouldn't really be a problem for either, it doesn't need Pele to control a ball & pass it ten yards, just the balls not to shit yourself. Any pro footballer should be able to do it & if they can't they should fucking learn or do one.

We don't know who makes the decision for him to boot it, as he does currently, but I suspect it's him. I imagine Pellegrini asks him to pass it out, but doesn't bother a shit when he completely ignores him, & lets him have the final decision. So he boots it.

No reason Joe can't do it. But he will have to, or be on the bench.

Doesn't make sense to me. Ter Stegen isn't a bad keeper, could end up being one of the best, but Joe is home grown and has a real sense of what City is about, as well as seemingly always showing the right attitude and desire to succeed - you don't hear storied about him being out on the town, jumping out of toilet windows on drug testing day, or round at some granny's house. What you do hear and see is the will to win each time he comes out the tunnel, the anger when he lets one in even if we are four up.

Too much of a gamble to look to replace him, what he brings to the table far outweighs any distribution issues, which i also firmly believe Pep and his team will be able to adjust quite quickly.

If Ter Stegen wants to come and fight it out, no guarantees for either, and the fee is reasonable, great. But letting Joe go would not be a clever move in my book.

I would've understand Caballero to follow Pellegrini to Everton or wherever the charming man is going. Hart however is one of many players that I expect to stay and improve under Pep and his team. Hart knows there is room for improvement in different areas. He needs serious competition though, so I gather we get in a goalkeeper who is better than Caballero.

Please tell me how he can do better, when no fecker moves into space to receive a pass?
Also the defence does not outnumber the opposition to allow the keeper to pass. Unlike Barca or Bayern a DM does not drop deep and the centre halves split to go either side to give the keeper options.Neither do players make triangles round the person with the ball to give then passing options,
When this is fixed and by some fluke Hart doesn't improve dramatically then complain about it,
but to complain that it's ALL Hart's fault when it clearly isn't is disingenuous at best.

That's a very good excuse. Doesn't work for me. There are players in space, not every single players is man marked - I was watching England and there were players in as much room as I've seen Barcelona players be under Pep with Valdes pinging a 30 yard crossfield pass right to the feet of Alves for example. Movement is crucial, but an accurate pass is more so. Our players can move all over the pitch if they like, but Hart would still potentially kick it out into touch. At the end of the day if short 5 yard passes is all the keeper needs to do then that's fine, but to get attacks going he'll need to find players in more advanced positions and in space. The goalkeeper becomes such a crucial extra man under Pep. His role enables the outfield 10 to overload the opposition and create chances by doubling up in positions and switching the ball from side to side. Pep needs a keeper that allows his tactics to be properly implemented and whilst movement will help I think it's foolish to think Hart currently is good enough to distribute the ball the way Pep would expect.

Happy to see online, everyone laughing at the story that why would joe hart go to Everton... Will only improve under pep.. Homegrown and a decade now at city!
