Oh cmon. Steau didn't press him at all. Pep said this after the game. Hart had all the time in the world on the ball because of that. If Hart had played against Spurs high press instead of Bravo. You would have seen the reason he was let go. That's why he was let go.

Spot on.

Also, as for the so called critisicism of Joe never mind a witch hunt, most Bluemooners would have stood up and joined the "Love Joe Hart" chants during Joe's last game. Joe's ten years of good service justified the fans response.

However, we've moved on under Pep and changed our style if play to hopefully compete with the very best.

These are some weird things to say coming from Joe. Don't know why he needs to say this.

They might be right; they might be bang on. Some people you struggle to argue with – they've got a lot of strong backing to what they say and what they do"
So the Board learnt their lesson from the Mancini debacle. Basically Joe said he wanted to argue but he didn't get the backing from the Board.

"I'm always looking, I'm always watching – I see new ideas, I like new ideas and I've got to work to my capabilities. Whatever I'm capable of, I need to be the best I can.”
Except for doing what my gaffer asked, I'm not having that.

“Not really. I've got quite a few people who I hold close to my heart and I trust and a lot of footballing opinions that I care about."
He doesn't care what Pep thinks.

Really just imagine any other player doing/saying this – Let's say Fernandinho left us because Pep wants to play the pressing game and Dinho doesn't want to press, and then he went out and say this to the press. What would you think?
Ffs give over

I don't know what you are alluding to and I don't know if Hart refused to try and develop the skills required to please Pep but I do by chance have it on good authority that Hart's personality was an issue but not in any sinister way that I am aware of but it did not gel with what Pep wants; just one of those unfortunate situations, I think. The downside of this was probably compounded by just how highly Gunn's potential is rated by Pep, which means Hart's City career is shot.

I would suggest he is hinting at the biggest slapper on earth, she used to like footballers from York before settling for Tarzan in the jungle.

This is nothing to do with Mancini. When I said other reasons that was something else that I'm not going to elaborate on but will say it was something that raised a huge question mark over his character and attitude.

But regardless of all that Pep made it clear to him he had to adapt to the sweeper-keeper role and Hart made it equally clear he had no intention of doing so. So he carried on playing the same way he always had, in training, in that 45 minutes against Arsenal and in the behind-closed-doors friendly in which he played the same way I'm told. That left Pep with little choice. Caballero struggled a bit with the ball at his feet but at least he gave it a go and our results were good despite him struggling at times.

If he'd come out in the interview and said "I tried to play the way Pep wanted but I know I can never be that sort of keeper so the parting of the ways was inevitable" I'd have some respect for him. But the interview comes over as a bit of arrogance and a snide dig to me but perhaps I'm reading it in the context of what I've just said.

Watch that Arsenal game again, he played most of his passes short. This idea that he ignored Pep's instructions in that game is bullshit.

Putting the above in perspective, it's obvious Hart's bollocks are in a vice when it comes to speaking up. There will be a price ticket on his Torino wage subsidy which he is intelligent enough to understand.

If he's really been a naughty boy, as PB alludes to, that would explain some stuff.

Most of us who had misgivings have filed them away, either temporarily or permanently, and moved on. Most of the remaining rancour seems to be sparked by those who can't resist dissing Hart.

Those are his quotes. You tell me then what does it mean? It's plain as day.
It tells me that Joe is confident in his own ability, and that he realises Pep wasn't/isn't, why the need to read between the lines ? Joe accepts that he isn't going to change Pep's mind, that's mature as far as I'm concerned, and he doesn't sound bitter about it, just realistic.
