Every single one of these 'Top 100 players in the World' list things puts Neuer in the top 10, then Buffon, Keylor Navas, Claudio Bravo, Courtois, Cech and De Gea are the only other 'keepers mentioned.
It baffles me why anyone other than Neuer and Buffon are considered to be better than JH.
Neuer makes mistakes, Courtois was being wanked over before he'd even played a game in England and didn't look anything out of the ordinary last year, De Gea is just a shot stopper and Cech has made the odd mistake too. Buffon is one of the only 'keepers I can think of who I've never really seen make a howler, although I'm sure he probably has.
It's difficult really for anyone to pass comment on other players though because they don't watch other teams in any great depth and then use England games and pundits comments to form their opinions. Whilst always having the agenda that their team's player is better.
With JH though, It's the old double sided argument.
City's defense is shit and JH is shit.
But JH kept 15 clean sheets and City's goals against was actually the 4th/5th best in the league, so which of the above statements is wrong??
Also, Kahn, Schmeichel and Lehmann saying he shouldn't have bothered with a wall.
Anyone remember Nicky Weaver trying that with Beckham??
