I think this is one position we don't need worry about and for a long long time. He's proved himself and hopefully the signing of Caballero is like Pantilimon and just there to back him up. He'll need a rest and hopefully this year's will come with less attention (ie. not with pressure to do so following a blip). All players have bad moments and for me Saturday wasn't one. He could have done better, but the team overall should have done better. His record for one-on-one is excellent and this was a rare one that got through.
We've got England's number 1. He's played a huge part in the most successful period in our history. His behaviour on and off the pitch is exemplary, he's confident in his own ability, he's still got a long career ahead of him and you can tell he's up for a battle for the shirt and to fight for the cause. He's a great image for the club and any other team in the country would want him in their 11.
I can't help but compare our progression to that of other teams and often you see the same man between the sticks for periods of dominance. Long may it continue for City and for Joe.
