A top keeper should be saving that simple as.

True, but straight between the legs is difficult in any circumstance, especially one where the lads been able to run 70yrd through three players, but hey let's all just point a Jo, like all the moronic twonks who sit near me. Hart is still one of if not the best in the league. Simple as
Courtois, Howard, De Gea, Begovic all better keepers. Harts been poor for a while and if he wasn't English I doubt he would still be here.

Hopefully he can regain his old form but those one on one type situations like on saturday is when you need your keeper to come to the rescue like Courtois did for Chelsea against Leicester.
De Gea? I don't doubt his quality but are you aware of the numerous mistakes he makes on occasion after occasion for them?

De gea has been excellent after a shaky start at united.

the critcs of joe hart include roberto mancini and manuel pellegrini--two managers who know what is expected of a consistently top class goalkeeper.
but what do they know, maybe they are muppets too...?
simple fact is joe has not improved .he has gone backwards.

That'll be why they dropped him and sold him then will it?
Had Mancini stayed Hart would have been sold and Pellegrini did drop him after a series of blunders.
yep, for those of us who listen carefully, David Platt confirmed Mancini was preparing to replace Hart and Pelle did drop him after a series of blunders.
we woud all like joe to be our keeper for years to come, i get that, but sentiment can play no part in the outlook of those who plan our assault on the league and europe in the coming years.

Joe Hart has gone backwards.

And his new contract from them that matter?

That is the basic fact that some people of this forum seem to want to ignore

What? Did you not see him on Saturday or against the mighty Dons?

He may have gone backwards, but I guess a lot of it has to do with us being more attacking. Lets face it, he claimed golden gloves in Mancini's years were our midfield and defense shielded him a lot. Now that we are far more expensive, his mistakes are more prominent.

What makes it more interesting is that Mancini wanted to replace him in the year he won the golden glove. The reason, our style of play then stopped the opposition from scoring but when Joe needed to step up he made mistakes, He had great games too, the one v Dortmund where he single-handedly kept us from defeat. But why would Mancini want to replace him? Because when expected to perform he didn't.

Its the same case now, except the Joe doesn't have the same shielding as before. Now he will make some awesome saves (Everton, CSKA away) but he would give goals he really shouldn't. Stoke being an example, Sterling away last season at the candle lighters, he should have been back in his goal. He also has a pronounced difficulty on his near post, and I think its being targeted. Compare his performance against stoke to that of Courtois against Leicester. He saved two goals at the very least after the defence was breached, probably saved 2 or even 3 points. That was what is needed of a GK in a top team, saving points consistently when your defense fails. Joe does make the spectacular save but he misses too often when he shouldn't. I think this season is make or break for him unfortunately.
