Joe Hart or Willy Caballero

We've actually had some pretty decent keepers at City, even when we were shite. David James was excellent for us, Shay Given was obviously very solid and Hart has been quality for the majority of the times he has played. Caballero is, without a shadow of doubt, the worse keeper we have had in an age. He doesn't look like he is going to save anything. He comes charging out when there is no need. Both times he did so against Newcastle the player had some pressure and the shot was almost impossible if the keeper was on his line. Instead he comes running out and lets the ball through his legs twice. That is inexcusable at this level. It is awful goalkeeping and has cost us the game. Hart has made those same mistakes before but generally he only comes running out to close the angle if the player isn't under a lot of pressure. He would have stepped a few yards forward and set himself to save any shot, Caballero was running out with no real desire to stop the ball.

"You do the Caballero and you turn around, and you see the ball in your net.... ohhhh Silly Caballero".

Joe will be City and England keeper for years to come. There is really no debate to be had.

Makes you wonder what made folk think this clown could challenge Joe for the no spot.

I'm not so sure a huge amount of people on here thought that. Two people without doubt did though...Manuel and Txiki.

Total silence from the Hart out brigade. Long may it continue.
No, they have taken to criticising Aguero for being a poor finisher...

hart out.

I'll say it again - signing average keepers doesn't make hart any better for having a handful of good games since real Madrid away.

I don't like his attitude and top keepers save more points than hart does - its a fact.

referencing given and james is something I often used to bang on about when criticising hart.

they would (pretty much every game) save penalties and pull off outstanding saves to keep us up/mid table/top 6 contention. Hart rarely does this and at the time I was saying this Hart was never making penalty saves (I know hes improved).

I'm sure the hart lovers will say ''its easy to be good when your busy'' - maybe so, but coming towards Given's end (when he was dropped for no reason after great form) Given had amazing concentration in doing nothing for 80 minutes and pulling off an amazing save. In came Hart, and for periods (Chelsea away last year even still) he would actively TRY and get involved in the game because he needed to keep his concentration.

Agree entirely. He has no presence whatsoever. His handling even looks poor in the warm up!

Another "I don't like Hart, he's shit because of his attitude" poster. His attitude has been excellent. His form has been good for nigh on a year. With some title winning saves, you know, that helped us win the league.

And as for Given, bollocks. The guy was an excellent shot stopper, who was wank at commanding an area, shite at collecting crosses and was more often than not stuck to his line when he should have been pressuring or attempting to stop the attacker. There is a reason Given was at Newcastle until he was 30, and when another club came calling it was us, who were lingering in midtable. Mancini saw this.
