Brilliant on his day. Which was in most games tbf. Divided opinions on his off days.
Let's hope he's been able to overcome his alleged gambling problems.

Corrigan. He had a ropey first spell in the first team, eventually being replaced by Keith MacRae. But when he got back in the side (around 1975, IIRC), he was brilliant. He should have won many more England caps than he did; he was unlucky to be around at the same time as Shilton and Clemence.

Corrigan was my boyhood hero - agree on Clemence and Shilton

Coton was class was thrilled when he signed for us as he always played well against us and was superb keeper

James, Seaman and Schmichael (Peter) all very good but probably all past their career peaks when they joined us

I’d think I’d still have Joe Hart over Big Joe (Corrigan)

He has a role at city lined up. Not coaching. He always kept his house in cheshire and he is moving back to that.

Thats all it was with him, he just wasnt going to be able to play how guardiola wanted him to play. Neither could claudio fuckin bravo but thats another story :)

Yep. We'd have gone down in that 03/04 season were it not for James. That penalty save at Leicester from Dickov to keep the game at 1-1 should be up there with other big moments where City rescued were rescued from oblivion.

yes i do believe he was around the 100k mark, at the time it was reported it was around £500k but i think Wardle came out a few years later saying it was 100k :-)

Was Pearce the manager who bought him? If so Joe was the exception that proved the rule. Was a superb goalie for us, had a great rapport with the fans and personally I have only ever hear him say good things about City

Joe hart was a real stopper, which before Prp arrived was what you wanted in a keeper. Team player on pitch and off, but when pro changed the way we play football in England, Joe couldn’t comply. Just wrong place, wrong time. Wonderful servant for city, should be heralded by fans and thanked for the good times in the years before Pep.
