He wasn't 'short of footballing sense' for the 3 years he won the golden glove. He's just having an off spell fuelled by the microscope he is currently under every minute of every game. I was astonished at the last home game to see that ALL the press were behind the City goal despite the fact that we normally score 3 or more goals at home and normally the press would want to capture that. But no....they were hoping for a mistake by Joe. How must that make him feel - and when the fans desert him too .... Joe's already a legend for us. A young goalie still, playing for US who has been England's number one for some time now.

The fans have been very loyal to Joe and sang his name at every game over the last month. It is a credit to the Blues that we sang Costel 's name in midweek after a fine display.

That is a gross contradiction and why did you feel the need to say that the fans have been very loyal to Joe? He DESERVES our loyalty. As for the midweek game, I expect ALL City fans to support whoever is wearing the shirt on the night - so why is a credit to the blues that we sang Pants' name? Actually, did we sing his name? Where were you sitting? However, the fact that we sing for Pants when he's playing doesn't mean we think any the less of Joe.

If you didn't hear Pantillimon's name being sung I'd suggest you need a hearing test, you fell asleep (perfectly understandable) or you weren't at the game.

Hart does lack a certain level of footballing sense, it's rarely been a problem previously because we've not played such a high line. However, Joe's now being asked to play as a sweeper and his decision making needs to improve. It's not just this season that this has been highlighted, in 2010/11 he had a similar incident with Kolo Toure, Kolo heard the shout and left the ball for Joe who missed it and Blackburn took the lead. In 11/12, he came rushing out against Spurs but misjudged the situation and Defoe beat him to it and knocked it into the empty net. It's not a lack of form or confidence for me, it's a serious flaw. However, that's not to say it can't be worked on and improved.

joe hart should get a pay cut now that he is dropped to the bench.

But we don't know that he is dropped to the bench. It is only press speculation and does Pantilimon/Kompany/Lescott/Milner/Richards et al get a pay cut every time they are dropped to the bench?
Don't bother rising to it EB. Luckily the few that want to shit on their own when they're down are the minority.

Has Hart done enough to be dropped? Personally i don't think so.We are not privy to what goes on in training and behind the scenes but unless he won't admit he may have made a couple of errors of judgment here and there then he should have been in the team tomorrow.

What good does dropping him do?Improve his confidence?Give him a kick up the arse?Let him know he isn't untouchable?I have no idea but it seems to me to be pandering to the media hype and that sticks in my throat a bit.

At the end of the day as fans we all want our club to be the best there is and it is now up to Pants to prove he is number 1.If he produces world class performances we move on and hard luck and best wishes to Joe.

I hope the club are giving him as much support as possible because the media are going to be all over him especially next time he plays. If we lose tomorrow then the shit will really hit the fan,I feel very uneasy with this although i can see why the decision has been taken

The media won't be all over him now he's out the side. But they would have been if he was playing tomorrow. That maybe part of the rationale behind this decision.

So now we have the fuckin rag press picking our starting eleven.?

-- Sat Nov 02, 2013 9:21 am --

Pay cheque.....,.not pay check.........fucking Americanisation of Bluemoon continues unabated!

Pay slip.

World cup next year, hardly surprising that the press are all over it. Would be just the same if any other England regular is dropped.

he must be laughing his socks off on the Galatasary fans forum!

I'm sure there's plenty of rags laughing their socks off too. But really who other than a tiny minority of senile mixed up disloyal Blues gives a shit? To the outside world we back our own and the **** you quoted is most definitely the outside world.

Wonder how many times they will cut to Joe sitting on the bench during the game. I'll start the bidding at 10.

I don't care about the outside world BS and what they think of us.

I only care that we give our best each week irrespective of who the manager picks.

When we do that we are usually ok because the players we have when they are on song are a match for most teams.

David james has said he spoke to joe last night,he saw this coming and he is going to work hard to get back into the team, james also saying he thinks it is not a bad idea for him to have time out

How many times in the other 85 minutes?

He'll return. Pantilimon is just as likely to err, goalkeepers inevitably do, and then the cries will amplify for Hart's return.
Hold on just a second there! lets hope no one screws up. I don't care who's in goal. As long as they play well.

Deserves to be dropped on current form but I think (hope) he comes back stronger than ever.

I feel his problem is perhaps he thinks too much and doesn't just react instinctively to situations where he's given time to think (corners, longer range shots). While when he has to rely on reaction close range shots he's one of the best around.

I feel this may be the end for Joe not just at City but in the top level. Every keeper that has made mistake after mistake in a short period seems to slip in to obscurity
I remember Paul Robinson was looking very good then a few mistakes and he never really recovered
