Why dont we show abit of faith in the guy and get behind him as fans get his confidence back which is obviously lacking. He has the talent to go on to be a City great lets not write him off yet ffs. Englands number 1.

Absolutely. Quite a few will remember Joe C's 'mishaps' before he went on to be on of City's rock solid goalies!
ah memories of big joe, yes even the mighty joe made some howlers, but think joe h needs a challenge to push him, seems very complacent, a game or 2 on bench might bring his focus back to the fore, and remind him that no one is guaranteed a place.

Joe was once asked how he turned the corner. He said "by playing"

A lot of support today from colleagues and coaches,it wont do him any harm.

I think he should keep his place tomorrow, such a show of confidence will do wonders I believe, and besides, being realistic,he's hardly a liability.
Hardly a liability?

Cardiff's second and third goals, Villa's second and third goals and Bayern's first and third goals and a poor 2012/13 season tell a different story.

Cardiff's second (yes) and third (no) goals, Villa's second (no) and third (not so much) goals and Bayern's first (yes) and third (perhaps) goals and a poor 2012/13 season (yes, by his standards) tell a different story

Not sure whether it's been posted, but there's a short article on the BBC website in which Steve Harper and Dean Kiely speak a lot of sense about Hart - far cry from the headline-mongering articles of the past few days

Cardiff's third he was caught in 'no man's land' from the corner, Villa's second was terrible one sided positioning at the free kick, Villa's third he ran out like a headless chicken and made the striker's mind up, Bayern's third showed slow reflexes. The point is that a keeper at the top of his game would have prevented all those goals. That's six more points in the Prem and an unlikely draw against Bayern. There's also the Scotland goal vs England.
As for 2012/13 you agree to poor 'by his standards' as though for other less able keepers it would have been an OK season.Do me a favour please. The howlers at Saints and Sunderland away and W Ham at home speak for themselves. Then we had the 'nearly' saves mostly at home - Spurs,L'Pool twice and Rags. For England two mistakes against Sweden amongst a few other 50/50 s that he didn't save.Add to that the increasing tendency to miss crosses or punch ineffectively and 2012/13 was poor by anyone's standards. Distribution of course is always poor.
I would happily have back the competent keeper of our Prem winning season. However he's regressed since then and it's time for a change. The problem on this forum is that a lot of posters are suffering from 'Emperor's clothes ' syndrome.

Pellegrini's just said in his presser he's got a big decision to make on Joe ... and that he'll make it tomorrow morning. Get the feeling it's already been made and Pants is gonna get the nod.
