With goalkeepers it's different than with players. Goalkeepers need full back-up by the managers and players and you can't change them for the sake of it. Wnger, Fergie and Redknapp to name three in the past few years changed goallies because they weren't sure, and look what it did to all of them. Now De Gea and Lloris are the number 1 and they look a lot better (unfortunately ...). You don't change goalkeepers other than you agree to play another goalkeeper in less important competitions.
If Hart is to be replaced by Pantilimon it has to be because Pantilimon is the better goalkeeper and he will than be given the rest of the season to prove his choice. I like Pantilimon as a back up, but I'm not ready to conceed Hart being our no. 2 and Pantilimon taking over as our no. 1. I hope and expect Pellegrini to disregard the media who's only concerned is the national team anyway, and let Hart continue to do his job in goal. I'm sure Hart will come back strong.
The problem with Hart is that instead of stepping up and proving everybody else wrong, it's like he tries his best not to look affected. I miss the passion and hunger I saw in his eyes the title winning season, reminds me of Reina's decline after the CL success. De Gea stepped up after some mistakes although he is still not good enough in my opinion, Lloris is a little bit too much of a Barthez 'clown' and a TV keeper and will surely cost Spurs a couple of points this season as well, although up there with the league's best. Cech is probably the best goalkeeper in the league by a mile, rarely makes any mistakes and his distribution is fantastic. Mignolet is another one, based on what I have seen when he played in Sunderland against City. His efforts in Liverpool have been great this season as well, although his distribution can be poor.
