While he wears the City colours he is part of the club. Slagging off current players is slagging off the club and is most frequently done by JCL glory hunters thousands of miles away who think they're top Blues 'cos they've got a City mug.

So I take it you didn't slag off Tevez during the Munich affair?

So you're equating loss of form to (alleged) insubordination?

There are people on here who don't understand the difference between criticism and abuse.

and Tevez "refused" to wear the city colours

To be honest there is a disproportionate amount of both. Shameful blues!

Joe made an horrendous cock up which cost the game. Sergio missed a couple of chances, as did Silva. Negredo lost possession on the edge of the Chelsea box which allowed them to hoof it into our area... and we know what happened next

City is for life, not just trophies... if you don't get that then kindly go back to where you came from...

Some of you don't know you're born FFS!

Riiigghht. So just keep playing him no matter how many points he costs us because we wouldn't want to hurt the poor little lambs feelings.

He needs dropping and a huge kick up the arse because at the moment he is dragging the club down. If he has anything about him at all he'll come back stronger and much more focused.

A million times this

The manager sees both goalies in action on a regular basis. He probably has a view on which is the better keeper overall. Hopefully he also knows how they tick.

He needs to calculate whether Joe will be alienated or improved by being dropped. And whether, in the meantime, we are likely to ship more or fewer goals.

Because there's a high risk Panty will make a few mistakes and people will be on his back after a few matches. (Yes, even on on Bluemoon).

I think it could be a master stroke by MP to play Joe against Norwich as serious vote of confidence in him.
MP can't lose really - Joe will really be on his game and will appreciate the faith shown in him. One more
major clanger then there is no discussion that he has to be stood down for a time.
I would like to see Joe in the team tbh. We need to stick with and by our own. We are Blues. We are City!

I think the Norwich match is exactly what he needs. If Pellegrini is going to "rest" Joe, I hope he does it after Norwich so he at least has a chance to get Sunday's error out of his system.

Citytilicry.... You are a moron, you think someone stood between goalposts earning 50/60k a week is under more pressure than the vast majority of Blues on here who are trying to support their team and provide for their family on a pittance.. Wake up you stupid twat...!!

"MP can't lose really" - he already has by sticking with Joe for too long.

Have faith fella. We've been through a lot worse than this 'crisis' in our day. Form is temporary - class is permanent and Joe is class.
We need to stick with him, show faith in him and support him. He will repay us tenfold and more in future.

Agree with this.
There's also a bit of lightning striking twice here. If you get struck once it is just an 'act of god'. If you get struck twice you surely start to think "I must be going places it's not advisable to go!"
Learn from this Joe. Maybe you should be just a little less cavalier about venturing out into the danger zone from now on.
