Don't understand people that claim the media got him dropped, nothing to do with poor goalkeeping ey? Also don't know if anyone else has noticed but we seem to be playing more smoother football with Costel in net, he always tries to keep the ball on the floor and pass it out from the back whereas Joe would prefer to boot it up.

This is great news, from LC's ThatKunAguero blog-

"It would appear Joe Hart has taken the first steps in his bid to regain his first-team place.

Joe was supposed to take part in a charity golf day on Wednesday but decided to pull out.

Harty, instead, could be found staying behind and doing extra training at Carrington with the coaches.

Pellegrini and co were suitably impressed.

…as no doubt, Blues will be to hear this positive news of a step in the right direction."

This could be the making of him lads, I have full faith in Hart as a professional.

This is exactly what i wanted to hear.

Train more and fuck the bullshit off, good man, good man.

One more, for the collection:

I'm sure Joe will be back and fit very soon.

2 funny ones, just to show that Joe is not the only one that makes mistakes...

He knifed the previous manager in the back who made him England no. 1 and the best in the World. So I dont have sympathy for him, he could be dropped from his England position now. I dont think its all Hart's fault being the best in the world means nothing if defensive line is not properly organised.

He needs to drop all extracurricular activities and concentrate on football not trying to be the next Beckham. A build a image empire on the side.

Bale's was a good finish and there was no goalie error. Also, many on here recognised Joe was making errors that were costing us results whilst he was still a media favourite.

Joe will be back better for this break if he is a champion but he may have to wit for Leicester in the Cup to show he has recaptured his form. Joe may also get game time for a england in the friendlies.

I'm gonna give it one last go as the other 3 times i've asked not one of Joes critics on here has bothered to even try.

Post the videos for Hart's catalogue of errors that have cost us a match. I'll give you the Chelski one to start you off even though Nastasic has admitted making a mistake for that one as well.

It's been repeated so many times, on here and in the media, that the 'string of errors' line has passed into fact when it is far from the truth.

I'm off to the boozer now but will expect a string of videos here when i get back...

Mistakes do not equal costing a match, if someone makes a mistake then that is a problem regardless of it costing us because eventually if there are a string of mistakes, a few of them will start costing you.

and I'd be delighted if he ironed out his weaknesses and became our record appearance maker by being our keeper for at least the next decade.

Well played for having a go JMW.

I was questioning another posters statement that Harts mistakes had cost us results. I would categorise a blunder/error/cock-up/mistake/hash by a keeper as one that results in a goal when under little or no pressure. Your first vid fits this category perfectly.
All of the others apart from the corner he was nowhere near are not goals that can be solely attributed to a Hart error.

We'd all be delighted I'm sure but perhaps you could spend a similar time assembling a compilation of Joe's best saves during his 200+ senior appearances for City & England. For the sake of balance you understand, after all as far as this season goes
“It is November. He made a mistake or possibly two mistakes,” Hodgson told a media conference on Thursday.
Then perhaps you could manage a little montage of Costel's greatest moments which make him the preferred choice at the moment.

I only put the vids up as it was asked, and he has made mistakes and I felt it possibly unfair that these were going to be ignored or brushed over just because video evidence was not presented.

If you want a compilation of his best saves, I direct you to these two videos:

Both games where he's busy so has to focus on just making the saves and being instinctive, particularly in the first video. Keeping it simple, not making rash judgments, strong hands and just nice and simply rolling or throwing the ball out quickly so that we can counter.

I think he's tried too hard to put things in his game that make him a "world class keeper" and lost his focus on just being the best he can be and just going back to being the keeper in the Spurs game. He isn't Casillas and he should stop trying to focus on being like that and just focus on getting the job done.

Back to basics for Joe.
