There's a big difference between shouting and the accent.

Shouting is rude, whereas the accent is likely because you're making an attempt to learn the language, or are talking to a lot of locals speaking English and you're reflecting back their speech (either simple because that's what you're hearing all the time, or because you're making it easier for them to understand).

When I was a kid back in the 70s and we visited the Indian half of my family in Kolkata, my Yorkshire born Mum started speaking English to them with a Bengali accent. I'm sure it was subconscious rand she even forgot to revert back when I misbehaved.
 
Joey has a track record of re-writing history, and i actually think he's convinced himself of his own made up stories. The knee to the back of Aguero leg is a classic example..i was there that day stood in block 136, literally a few yards away from it, and was staggered to see what he did..it was instantaneous red mist, right in front of everyone's eyes...then years later he tries to pass it off as a cunning plan to "take someone down with him"...utter rubbish. Not surprised he's pretending the Marseille interview was some sort of ironic joke, the guys deluded.

Nobody normal calls themselves Schteve in a country where they generally speak English better than we do.
 
Barton tried to come into the stand to fight with us at Chesterfield after we told him and his team mates what we thought of their pathetic surrender. While other slackers trooped off, Distin argued with City fans behind the goal Barton just couldn't take it and lost his shit completely. It took 2 stewards to physically restrain him. The irony being they were weren't the worst on the pitch but no one deserved any credit. His behaviour that night was very telling as to what kind of individual he is. None of his bigoted misogyny or violent behaviour comes as any surprise. I doubt that it will end well for him.

There were a few paragraphs about Barton and how he behaved at City, in Nedum’s autobiography.

It pretty much aligns with what he says again, here.
