John Guidetti: 20 goals and 6 assists in 23 for Feyenoord

trimmer is right, people who demean the Dutch league based on a few flops going to England (as compared to many NON-flops) are like those rags who make the sweeping statements about City (only go for the money, etc.), it's arrogant and uninformed. They are making a gross generalisation and people have repeated it so many times they believe it's a fact of football when it isn't.

The Eredivisie is not the best league in Europe and is ranked 8th in the Champions League coefficients list, but is technically quite good (besides a few shocking teams in the lower half) and has some good quality teams. For example, Guidetti scored a hat-trick against Ajax, the team who beat United at Old Trafford in the Europa League and lost narrowly to them at home. 3 of Europe's top 5 goal scorers this season (Ibrahimovic, van Persie, Huntelaar) played in the Eredivisie. Those three were the top goal scorers in the Premier League, Bundesliga, and Serie A - the #1, #3, and #4 ranked leagues in Europe. It's proven to be one of the best leagues in Europe for young footballers to develop in.

Could Rodgers going to the Dippers halt the proposed Guidetti to Swansea loan? They could turn into a hoofball team for all we know, the idea was probably for Guidetti to play at the highest level in a technical team. Or will Swansea look for continuity and get a Spanish coach or something?

they're about to sign sigurdsson, and they still have their 5 foot 3 midfield. so i reckon the next manager will still try to play to their strengths

I think we should let him go back to dutch league for anouther year or somewhere else in europe like germany. Or we could sell him for loads If he does score about 20+ goals in the dutch league again .

is it true he out of the euros ? was one of the few things i was looking foward to watching in them

yep, because of his medical condition (virus). Shame, he would probably have started or been substituted since Elmander have problems with an injury.
