Re: I Want Number 9 or 10 Shirt – John Guidetti Warns Man City

Asked whether a stay in the Eredivisie was on the agenda, Guidetti told Inside Futbol: "I can say one thing for sure: My aim is to play.

"This is the reason why last summer I chose Feyenoord", he added.

"I’m looking for a club that tells me ‘John, you are our first or second striker. Here’s the number 9 or 10 shirt’."

And the Sweden star, who is tipped to make an impact at Euro 2012, is clear that the omens at Manchester City last summer were not good, and is it that which forced his departure.

"At Manchester City they gave me the number 60 shirt!", said Guidetti.

"Obviously I’m looking forward to playing in a top team and it will be important what City decide to do next summer.

"For me and my career, playing as a regular in the current season has been fundamental."
Yep, you can fuck off. Not even that good anyway.

One of our up and coming players is driven, ambitious and believes in his own ability.

He accepted a loan move and has made a terrific success of it. His drive, ambition and belief is reinforced and he has added top class experience to the mix and now he is hungry for more of the same.

What part of this picture is a problem for us as City fans? He is OUR player. If he comes back and proves himself good enough .......brilliant. If he can't force himself into the side, he's put significant value on his transfer fee with his exploits in Holland.

Personally, I have no problem with a the guy saying he wants to play football. If he said he wanted to head off and play golf for three months I think I might be more concerned.

Yaya is 42, Mario is 45 and Hart is 25,Di Maria is 22, Higuain is 20 and Tom Cleverly is 23. Kit numbers don't mean a thing these days.

Because he feels he is talented enough to dictate his importance to the club, instead of leaving this to much more qualified people

He'll get his comeuppance

WTF??

He's a City player,he may well be getting his ambitions mixed up with his capabilities, who knows, only time will tell.......However it's certainly not a crime and,as such,i find your comment that insinuates him potentially coming a cropper may somehow do him good, very strange indeed.

If Mario said this people would be saying how amazing he is.
Guidetti is showing ambition and we get our own fans dismissing him and wishing us to sell before even giving him a chance

Before he starts demanding the number 9 shirt at City ahead of players like Aguero, he needs to prove himself in a real league. Here are the leading scorers in that league.

1 Bas Dost Heerenveen 28
2 Luuk de Jong Twente Enschede 23
3 Sanharib Malki Roda JC Kerkrade 20
4 John Guidetti Feyenoord Rotterdam 18

I've heard of De Jong, that's it. The way he acts is ridiculously cocky for what he's done.
