First he had the flu and now he has some kind of nerve eating virus. So he's out for a while and has been for a bit sadly.

Funny thing is he's an anti-mercenary and getting slated. He just wants to play and isn't motivated by money, he nearly joined Twente last summer as he was worried about limited chances here but our club convinced him he had a future here.

He has a charity in Kenya, how many footballers barely out of their teens do that? He's confident and perhaps a little cocky as young players so often are but he is not this egomaniac some people are making him out to be. Amazingly there is almost a quiet desire for Guidetti, a product of our academy, to fail among some as if to prove the "Dutch league is wank, just another Samaras" mantra that has been repeated in this thread.

We should support our youth products, especially ones who have a lot of talent. Most players mature with age but people are quick to attack a lad who just exited his teens despite his obvious talent that those more educated than us, aka the scouts of top European clubs, have noticed hence the great interest in clubs bigger than our own in him.

Up this. Slate me if you want, but I believe our wealth has gotten to the head of some fans here.

Rubbish, if he would have said this in 2005 people would be pissed off. You don't just walk into a team because you say so, and threatening to leave at his stage of development isa cunts trick

Before he starts demanding the number 9 shirt at City ahead of players like Aguero, he needs to prove himself in a real league. Here are the leading scorers in that league.

1 Bas Dost Heerenveen 28
2 Luuk de Jong Twente Enschede 23
3 Sanharib Malki Roda JC Kerkrade 20
4 John Guidetti Feyenoord Rotterdam 18

I've heard of De Jong, that's it. The way he acts is ridiculously cocky for what he's done.

Your stats are wrong..

1. Bast Dost 32 (30)
2. Luuk de Jong 30 (23)
3. Sanharib Malki 31 (23)
4. John guidetti 23 (20)

Guidetti doesn't claim to be the first striker. But he knows young players have to play. He would rather play 30 games for antoher club than 5 for City. That's not arrogant, it's intelligent.

Feyenoord are on the 2nd place now bacause of the 1-0 victory today against AZ Alkmaar and they can still reach the CL.

this would be intelligent if he was asking it in the closing door.

if he do it publically then may be all but intelligent

According to the Sunday Mirror, he's picked up some sort of virus that's caused him to lose the feeling in his right leg, with no date for when he can play football again? Hope he's goona be okay

Inter, Arsenal, Wolfsburg, and Valencia are all interested in Bas Dost, he already turned down a move to Villa. De Jong and Guidetti have both also obviously attracted a lot of high profile attention from big clubs. No idea about Malki, is he good?

(insert generic Samaras/Kezman comment here)

Malki is no good. Bas Dost scores most of his goals from headers and tap-ins. The man to thank for that is Luciano Narsingh. He has 21 assists this season and 7 assists. De Jong is a very good players and he, Dost and Guidetti are the best 3 strikers in their league.
