If you asked me to read Mancini's mind as I have no inside knowledge at all, I would guess that's the plan. Always nice to see a young player do well!ChicagoBlue said:taconinja said:I was actually pleased with both of them.
Agree, with the caveat that if Balotelli would just show some interest and lose the attitude EVERYONE would fawn all over him. Let in the game, he chested the ball inside from the left wing, half way line, and went for the 1-2. Got it, penetrated and played a SUPERB BALL in behind the defense for Guidetti. If that had gone in, it MIGHT have been goal of the pre-season...worldwide! It was a brilliant flash of poise, skill and ability to make the pass and change the game.
Guidettl worked very hard, was a strong outlet and looks like he knows where the goal is and, as a very young striker, has a very decent future ahead of him. If we swap Tevez for Aguerro, then I would keep him as our 4th striker with Dzeko, Balotelli and Aguerro and save a bundle by bringing him along.
I don't know. I think our 4th striker will still get lots of play considering Balotelli often shifts to midfield and there are always injuries.McFcMiKe7 said:looks a very good player, shame he will be 4 in the pecking order behind balotelli, dzeko and aguero (if he joins)

I dont think he is a top prospect but maybe a decent one. Seemed to lack a bit of pace.

Such is the seeming lack of cohesion between manager Roberto Mancini and the administrator axis of Garry Cook and Brian Marwood that City bought back a promising striker for a considerable sum after letting him go for free.
Sweden Under 21 forward John Guidetti, who scored 13 goals in 17 games for the reserves last season, is understood to have cost City as much as £1million to reclaim him from Dutch club FC Twente.
Twente had signed him on a Bosman deal when negotiations with City over a new contract broke down.
Guidetti’s father, Mike, arranged the move to Holland when City, the richest club in the world, dithered over a £10,000 fee during talks.
