john guidetti

We need pace, pace and for good measure pace so we can blow away all the teams that come and park the bus. We have been unable to get round the back of them this season. No pace good bye.

I am yet to be convinced by him. Looks a bit too bulky to me and a bit cumbersome. Hope I'm wrong but can't seem to have the same enthusism as some on here and yes I have seen his Feyenoord goals. However, there have been enough strikers who were prolific in Holland and then did nothing over here.
I can think of 2: Samaras and Alfonso Alves (Neither of which had as impressive record as Guidetti had for a debut season)
There have been a ton of class attackers who played in Holland and weren't as impressive as Guidetti at the same age.
Van Nistelrooy, Suarez, Ronaldo, Kalou, Kinkladze, Kluivert, Huntelaar, Van Persie, Arnautovic, Gudjohnson

I don't disagree that there have been plenty of class strikers it's just that some poor strikers have done well over there too. I really do want him to succeed with us, I'm just not sure he will. I will back him 100% and hope to be proven wrong.

Fair enough, but I believe as a fourth striker it is definitely worth keeping him.

Absolutely

It's true and completely rational to people that Guidetti might not work out.

But I would much rather we have had given him a chance, whether he works out or not, rather than rue the day we never gave him a chance.

He would actually get about the pitch and put some effort in unlike Dzeko who is on huge wages and we could get a big fee for. Get Guidetti in the first team behind Tevez and Aguero then get rid of Dzeko

He's good in the box and this weekend might have bagged 2 or 3 if presented with those chances. He could be our Hernandez you might say, getting the scrappy goals we need! As Mancini said we try too hard to score the perfect beautiful goals, we need more double deflected goals off a defender's arse.

Would like to see Guidetti get a chance in the first team, if only to see if he can deliver what we need and that is being a fourth striker.............
