Both Swedish and English sites are reporting that Johns dad stopped the transfer because he "wanted to wait for a offer from a bigger club"

This makes no sense at all. It's better he gets loaned to a club where he actually gets gametime, he doesn't need more time on the sidelines. Are they waiting for a offer from Barca or something?
stopped what transfer mate?

oops, the Stoke transfer! Sorry, I get a bit carried away sometimes ;)

Only plus with Stoke is Hughes knows him, the downside is that it's Stoke.

Should be a team that plays good football like Swansea (would find it hard to get in the team when Michu is back) or Everton (wouldn't get in the team), who's the next best club?

Southampton?

I think Aston Villa would be a good team for him and they surely need another striker, but hopefully they will come to their senses and agree to the Stoke move. Would love for him to cause problems for some of our title opposition

The Mirror says the deal with Stoke will be confirmed tomorrow:

Stephen Ireland will also join Stoke. Woppa!

Stoke played some great football yesterday. Not sure if it was a fluke one-off as I don't watch other teams, but what I saw of that game they don't appear to be just launching the high ball as their primary mode of attack.

Perhaps Hughes is trying to play a bit these days.

Will he be eligible to play against us?

I'm really excited about this and I hope he'll finally gets some time to shine!

I've watched them a few times and Sparky has changed the way they play. They are no longer unwatchable. Have focused the attack going threw Adam, Ireland and Nzonzi(sp?) no longer hoofing it forward but playing on the floor. Just hope he gets a descent amount of games.
