A quick exit isn't punishment for some people it's almost a reward
 
There must be an argument that for justice to be seen to be done, even if an offender refuses to attend court, footage should be recorded of them being informed of the sentence in their cell.

No different from when police share footage of suspects being read their rights during arrest or interview while in custody.

It would also be an opportunity for the victim’s family, friends and wider public to see him within the setting of the pathetic existence he will endure for the rest of his life.
 
Whilst so many keep saying ‘I’d probably kill my self’ .. he has instead, remained dignified, strong and returned to the airwaves doing what he loves best and commentating on the horses - full respect to him.
 
His whole impact statement was read on the Jeremy Vine program Radio 2 on Wednesday, one of the announcers voices his words.
It was ten minutes long and so powerful, you couldn't help having your eyes fill with the emotions of it.
If you look on BBC sounds I would imagine it's on there and the first topic on the program, so personal I don't know how to describe it.

I read the transcript. His words were very powerful. Still commentated the Gold Cup flawlessly today aswell. The strength of that man is incredible.

Saw the article and an excerpt of the interview on BBC News. Amazing people and Human Beings. Is something I will definitely be looking at over the weekend.

Still for me is without doubt the best horse racing commentator around at the moment... maybe the best ever,. He calls the big field short distance flat races so clearly and concisely.
