Not there physically or mentally.

He was done when Pep said before the last derby that he dropped Stones because he wanted characters in the team, almost every single performance since has just confirmed it.

Has had more than enough time and guidance to be established now and just isn't. Not the best passer, not the best decision maker and still far too weak or slow to deal with the opposition. Time to sell on.

The league is gone, get Garcia and Foden in and build for the future. If Garcia impresses, we have a future partnership with Laporte to look forward to. If he doesn't, he is young and it will have been valuable experience. There is no point giving minutes to Otamendi and Stones in a competition we will not win. Both should go in the summer.

Quite sad to see how far he’s declined. Two years ago I thought we’d be building our team around him and that he’d be our captain for many years. A shadow of the player he was and only he knows why that is. A long time since he looked like a strong defender. Feared of anybody that runs near him now and doesn’t know how to make a tackle any more. Unless he sorts his head out very soon, will be sold in the summer.

Simply not kicked on and has become routinely physically frail. If he stays he will be facing up to being fourth choice CB going into next season, he’ll be kept around for the HG status if we can’t find a buyer.
