Stones getting rewarded for his nationality would be ridiculous. Unless he is willing to take pay cut and accept 4th choice status.

I think it's more a matter of selling him on for a reasonable price, if we are running down his contract it reduces his value - even Mangala got a new deal. Garcia would be a club trained competitor for a berth alongside Eric if he grew a bit bigger.

Hope the rumours are true and he goes. Shown flashes of class but overall he’s been error prone, injury prone, too soft and frankly seems uncommitted to being the best he can be (getting hammered at Sterlings party and in the off season etc). In the summer we should replace him with Koulibaly and bring in someone like Demiral to replace Ota.

Still hope that Stones will come good, but he looks extremely low on confidence at the moment. Noticed he was trending on Twitter, and it seemed to be because he was being linked with Everton. Depressingly, most of their fans were saying they wouldn’t take him even on a free transfer!

Had a good game today but these are usually the games he does well in. I want to see him excel and be able to take charge when laporte isnt next to him and were under pressure.

I am as a good as Ali when I hit the punching bag.....but that's because the punching bag don't hit back. Same can be said about Stones when we play against teams that don't throw anything at us.

This. I think he needed tonight. Allowed him to get some confidence back. Aggressive to win a few tackles and balls in the air and passed it round well.
