Not sure why anyone would think this transfer is imminent. Not only is it Everton, it's now a richer Everton who's new owner won't want to lose his two prized assets his first summer in charge.

Would cost us more than Chelsea offered last summer for certain.

I agree mate.....euros, new manager, new owners...etc etc...does anyone even know if we've even placed a bid? I know City are unlikely to tell us these things but something normally leaks in the press etc........in my opinion (as I know absolutely nothing!)..just too many factors for this to be "imminent"....I think this one could drag on to after Pep arrives in July....

The bolded part is why all of these posts are just a waste of time. Was Morgan fantastic last season? Yes...but it is because he fit the system. Imagine if Morgan had just played an entire season under Pep. We would say he was probably the worst CB in the league.

If you don't know what Pep needs from his CBs its better to just not give your opinion because you sound ignorant.

Do you actually know what I was talking about initially? Why on God's earth would I want Wes Morgan at my football club?

Neville Muppet reckons...

John Stones criticism is scandalous... it is as if we are trying to destroy the kid, blasts former Everton captain Phil Neville
  • John Stones has been criticised for his performances in recent months
  • The Everton defender suffered a dip in form and confidence last season
  • The 22-year-old is part of England's squad for the European Championship
  • Phil Neville has described criticism of the Everton defender as 'scandalous'
  • Rio Ferdinand has urged Roy Hodgson to start Stones at Euro 2016

And an Everton who are about to get a new manager. A deal for Stones is far from close.
