Haha. I certain,y seem to remember Pep playing with Pique and Mascherano at the back several times for Barcelona, Benatia/Martinez partnering Boateng too. It's not outlandish in a Guardiola team at all. And by "brute" I don't mean some lump like Mangala who has zero technical capabilities, I'm thinking more Otamendi/Kompany who aren't bad on the ball and give us a bigger physical presence at the back.

Ok if you mean Kompany by brute, I can live with that.

towards the end of the vid , mentions we are working closely on stones and laporte

Your definition of brute is getting confusing. Stones and Laporte are as British as Ota ot Komps. I guess in the end, these terms are malleable. Wouldn't consider Macherano a brute either. Seeing as he was a technically proficient mid turned defender.

A brute to me is Mangala, Sahko, Huth, Morgan, Rudiger. Bit o guess it is all moveable.

I would suggest stones has picked city, everton won't be keen.
Hence united signing Eric Bailey from villareal.

Unless they try for both like us with laporate and stones

Transfers starting to hot up now

I'd much prefer to see the yellow ticker read that we're signing this lad.

That's not a knock on Aubameyang, I just want Stones above the rest.
