By my calculation we need to lose 4 players 5 if Zinchenko stays, so if not Wilf then who? With the player we have and the coach we have 2 main strikers plus Sane, Nolito, De Bruyne, Sterling and Silva shouldn't be something to worry about.

I'd expect Navas, Zabba and Kolarov to leave permanently and Bony and Mangala to leave on loan because we won't be able to find anyone who will match their wages.

I am assuming they don't have a replacement on their books. If they don't, then if they sell they have to replace him with little time left and will have to pay way OTT. If they approach any Premiership club now, they'll get quoted huge fees, so they will have two options:

That's my point. Should have sorted this months back so that they could get on with their own team building. Whatever extra they gain from City for being awkward, the will lose when they come to replace him. They bid for any defender there'll get quoted double.

Mangala is a good player...look at how he started with Vinnie last season...problem is though, his form is erratic. Why not through him into the bargain? One area we never seem to get right I'd CB. I'm sure Stones will be a great signing for us....forget the snipers!

Rewatching the game yesterday at night, I just thought that in this 3 man defense, Stones could be a massive asset in Tosin's position. High up the pitch pressing (with Otamendi giving the cover), making comfortable vertical passes out of the back, stretching the play etc.

But he will have to up his game from last season if he wants to outplace Tosin, mind. :)

It's bizarre. Once we pay for Stones everyone knows they'll have a large amount of money to spend on his replacement. The longer they leave it and the higher they demand it will be harder for them to get someone. You'd think they'd want to et the deal done quickly so they can get their replacement in.
