Not even remotely true. You're suggesting the fact he's playing a pre-season friendly precludes him from coming. KDB not only played in the preseason, he played a few regular season games. There is nothing in Stones playing that changes anything.

Pretty much the same as the Sterling and KDB negotiations. I'm pretty sure both clubs know we'll pay the money which renders it a pretty pointless excercise from us.

Aslong as we get him I don't really mind but for the sake of trying to save face he could be training and playing under Pep already.

Man City will not meet £50m asking price for John Stones

Manchester City are refusing to make John Stones the world's most expensive defender.

Pep Guardiola is prepared to walk away from a deal for the England international if Everton do not lower their £50m asking price.

With Juventus centre back Leonardo Bonucci still an option, City feel confident enough to stick to a hardline stance over Stones.
