I tuned in to watch stones, wasn't blown away which is pretty much were I was from watching him last season. I think the only thing he has over Denayer is prem experience and an inch or two in height.

They're trying to sign Juan Mata and a few others at the moment, maybe they think a few signings could change his mind. If City do meet their asking price then I guess they're happy enough with that outcome as well.

For me they are trying to get close to the 50 and City don't wanna go above the 40. Will drag on until one backs down or they meet in the middle

I think you're right, I would expect add ons to play a part in the deal. I just think Everton would be happy if their new signings convince him to stay. Annoying that this is likely to rumble on, I don't think it does Everton any favours either.

If that's true it'll hopefully get the ball rolling with Stones. Williams is a good signing for them.

They all seem certain Stones is a done deal and they were just looking for a replacement. Sounds hopefull

Not that I'm too sure whether they find equally good or better replacements, but fuck me, getting maybe even more than 100m for this pair is beyond ridiculous, inflated market or not.

And saying that, I still want us to get Stones.
